QUOTE(philipskardon @ Sep 17 2019, 07:22 PM) Quickie... I'm in a delima. Looking at something used, coming from mtb. There's a kuota carbon, merida flx and a giant alu. Varying years and all with 105 min. What kinda aspects in cycling world should I look into in considering the above? Price points within 1k differences. Weight, size, components like cockpits, scratches and finally, the look. |

QUOTE(Clueless07 @ Oct 30 2019, 08:35 PM) Of course got and anybody who couldn’t make it to the time limit will be picked up by so called broom wagon. You know what better, road bike could even call for grab to come and pick up. Try to do that in the middle of the jungle |

QUOTE(Clueless07 @ Oct 30 2019, 09:28 PM) Right. Just on this topic.... It’s pretty much preference rather than anything else, some of my friends are on saddle bag, top tube bag and what not while Me I’m very strict on those kind of things. I don’t even have front light when I ride at night and the only so called accessory that I have is the rear blinker where I only use it at night. Day time? Not gonna happen and I put my spares in my jersey pockets. By the end, it’s preferences and very individual. Same like having a side mirror on your handle bar, will you install it?We carry spare tube, pumps and tools right. Typically RB guys don’t use a hang on pouch right ? Either at top tube or below saddle - so do they? Contemplating to get one .... |

QUOTE(chinti @ Nov 13 2019, 05:03 PM) u can c ur improvement or wat not but dun take the data as if its 101% accurate, there r ppl here tht swear by strava data to the 0.00 decimal till they say strava data is accurate enough to substitute real power meter Even power meter shows discrepancies in numbers between models and brands then how to take Strava power numbers |

QUOTE(Lord Suave @ Dec 2 2019, 12:10 PM) seeking some guidance, i am a big size guy with weight of a landwhale, i have lost 10kg over the last two months and would like to venture into cycling and was advised that normal bikes would not be suitable to support my weight... RB, MTB, Foldie, all can support your weight depending on brands and models. Please do check frame and wheelset specification for the maximum supported weight. Best to ride the same type of bike that your closest bike group within your neighborhood does then at least you know that they will keep bugging you every Saturday or Sunday morning for a ride and you have no excuse not to jump out of the bed.is there any shop that i could step in to get guidance as the last thing i want to do is spend so much and end up keeping the bike collecting dust... |
