Maxis will follow later.. just look at current offer between both TM n Maxis.. both almost same with Maxis slightly cheaper but has symetrical up/download speed

UPDATE:just reached their customer service, if existing user want to change plan, u can fill up the form anytime, and ur contract would be refreshed for another 24 months, no timeframe and no surcharge implemented for u to decide whether to downgrade to NEW plan with better pricing. RM 10 surplus for both iflix and unlimited VoIP(only 30M).

Most subscribers are stuck between sticking to original plan and wait for speed bump, or downgrade to better pricing. Regarding speed upgrade, still no news at the moment. The speed upgrade mostly likely done like TM fashion, which is automatic, 10x and no contract renewal.

Right now I'm paying RM179(discounted to RM139) for 30mbps. Does this mean I can downgrade to either 30mb for RM89 or 100mb for RM129 with no extra charges?

Yes, do it online here now (Select Upgrade will do) or walk-in to Maxis Centre on 13th Sept onwards smile.gif

Maxis want to earn money and lock users
For another 2 years contact.
Recently our new government had offer
Fibre internet speed free upgrade, it’s totally
Free from our new government.
But maxis use this opportunity to earn
Money and didn’t offer any free upgrade
For Maxis user.
I had using Maxis Fibre more than 6 years
And I pay around RM 120 per month for
10Mbps internet speed. Recently I know
The news for the free upgrade, last week I
Had call Maxis services center, and ask for
Free upgrade, but the answer from them is
I have to sign another 2 years contact and
Get (RM 88 - 30Mbps or RM 128 - 100Mbps)
Or I keep the my old package which mean
10Mbps per month for RM 120.
I hope MCMC will look for this issue.

RM89 for 30M = cheaper + higher speed
Since you are using it for 6 years, so the 2 years contract have no impact on you. No?
People give cheaper price and higher speed and you still want demand more? You can always go to another provider, if you are unhappy with your current provider. Jangan paksa kamu thumbup.gif

Why RM89 for 30Mps, when TIME is RM99 for 100Mbps?
233% the speed, for only 11% more in price.

Only reason can think of is maybe for TIME, have to install new cables, can't use back Maxis/TM cables in the home. Maxis still riding on money-sucking TM's network. TIME using their own.

Anyone successfully so called "upgrade" their plain to 30mbps for RM89? Apparently my case was I requested long time ago, keep chasing them for few weeks. From maxis centre to call centre to maxis apps and even FB. Now my plan is so called upgraded as it is shown on Maxis apps.

But then the speed is still the same when I test it with speedtest. Using my own router and the router do mentioned it can support up to 300Mbps. My router is TP-Link TL-WR1043ND but with modified firmware.

call maxis fiber support (1800-82-4663), not the general maxis customer service. I upgraded my plan at 15th sep, download is fine at 100mbps, but upload is stuck at before upgrade which is 10mbps and have problem to turn on IPv6, i called to general customer service (123) for 3 times but didnt get rectify, until i call that fiber support then it is solved within 3 days. was planned to call and apply to waiver since the problem is there for like 3 weeks, but meh, i lazy to wait again... someone from maxis will reach you with whatsapp about the problem, make sure u give them a phone number that has whatsapp can ad.

spare them the whining of your problem, just tell them the problem you have can ad, i have a friend working in maxis, said because of the upgrade, their job volume is now about 8 times the usual number, so some might missed or being thrown to a corner eventhough a report is made in the system, but there aren't enough staff to handle the workload spike.

Just a quick update. I successfully upgraded my 30mbps to 100mbps without recontract to maxis. No price change too. Stayed at 129. Quite awesome. Only took 2 working days for it to change speed. Didnt have to do anything. Not even a reboot. Cheers
