This was what the technician told me when I asked last time. Maybe that's the limitation on the light source. I think the fiber connected to the house is multimode fiber which can carry about 1 Gbps. It is cheaper than single mode.

to be honest, your router need to change if you want to enjoy anything more than 50mb... and TM current router sure you will be crying !
