My Smart Tag (first version) consumes battery as fast as a supercar consumes petrol.

Anyone tried usb rechargeable 9v batteries before? I see Lazada and Shopee sell this brand (Doublepow) and customer's ratings macam good but I never hear this brand before. So convenient if can use microusb to charge instead of big bulky chargers.

yup warranty support already ended last month. u still can use it until spoilt just cant repair anymore.

imo battery lasting depends on the unit itself. some bad quality unit probably short circuit or something that makes batt out very fast.

Haha wasted if throw away and get new one. The new one's shape not ergonomic and mine has screen issues, can't see the balance of touch and go.

RM30+ only, no need to buy charger coz there's a MicroUSB input. Seriously worth if it lasts.

Yeah was looking at OKCELL along with Doublepow coz that's what I can find online.

Hmm my battery lasts around 1 - 1.5 months every time I buy a a normal RM10 - RM15 battery. Really high maintenance. Need to do some calculations first because if RM30+ for the Doublepow can last for 2-3 years, it's superbly worth it.

I bought one of this:

And one of this:

Just make sure the polarity is correct and you can remove the battery and plug this in to the smart tag.

Dangling cables, though. Need to tie them up neatly.

Used it before

Poor quality

It's very light

You drop it, it's dead

Received one with signs of being dropped during shipping - arrived dead.

I suppose they could put more lithium ion inside, but then it would really put it's name to fame

Cannot use for device with battery indicators. Once voltage drops to a certain level, the better with shut off the circuits and the device using it will not have power.

Try Panasonic alkaline, usually last longer for me.

However, my SmartTag's LCD has been dead for ages and I can't find a replacement. Sick of running out of battery too, hence the USB powered SmartTag now.

Your SmartTag is faulty. Perhaps one components is dying. If normal battery can last 1 month, rechargeable battery can last less than 2 weeks. Not good choice. I'd rather go for 12V to 9V adapter.
