Lol, the AE86 is now been officially been hyped to the stage of legendary!
IMO, that car is good for downhill or touge, or circuit racing within it's own class. |

Power to Weight Ratio IMO. That's why pure racing cars don't have unnecesarry bling bling. They need the best ratio.

the handling was badly done by the game. Too much understeer to the M3 compared to real life XD |

Meh, like playing Richard Burns rally. Too much damage --> escape -- Restart..
This sure will cut the participant for the next WCG in half as they can't hit the wall to go faster anymore IMO XD |

USians like Drag because it means the bigger the engine the more power it has. Compared to the Europeans who like better handling for circuit racing and Japanese who prefers oversteer

nah, in real life circuit racing is harder. to get that perfect downshift, braking line, and make sure that you hit the apex perfectly before accelerating away. And do that lap after lap.

QUOTE(farique @ Aug 16 2007, 01:55 PM) I am not sure if you say that based on real life experience. You say circuit racing is a lot harder than drag right, but in circuit racing you will do all that stuffs (braking, clipping...etc) over and over again. In drag race, you got to only do it once and its done. People may say that "ala.. so stupid la going on straight.. ", well, that is the thrill. Going in an insane speed in a straight line that measures less than half a kilometers. Imagine reaching 200kmh after 400m.. could you still handle the car? lol, it's too my opinion. But different ppl have different preferences. Just voicing my opinions. sorry for being a lil off topic yah.. I wonder my little mini 7300GT could handle this game.. 1 - Drivers that uses standing start usually have good clutch/oil sync to avoid wheelspin. Even a little wheelspin can mean losing 3 places before the first corner. 2 - with the correct suspension balance or setting, yes, it's driveable on 200++km. Taking a corner with the same speed thinking when the grip will go away to the inertia as the backend of the car sways is another story 3 - Yes, your VGA can run this, albeit in a low graphic setting |

Want realistic game? Go for Live for Speed or rFactor. Nothing can beat both of those game in realistic, as you get tyre wear, blow out, flatspot, engine blow, loss of aerodynamic, bottoming out, ground effect, changed alignment, and my personal favourite, tyre falling out of nowhere from the sky

QUOTE(rcky @ Aug 22 2007, 07:34 PM) If Forza, Gran Turismo and TDU can pull it off very easily, I don't see any reason why Pro Street can't do it. Plus, Forza also has unbelievably detailed customization options that are near limitless. Maybe it's because we're speculating based solely on the PC version, which will definitely occupy close to 10 or 15 GB (a real, real hassle). But still, I can't accept the fact that a next-gen racing game packs less than 50 cars or so, when everyone else is cramming ungodly amounts of vehicles into their games. And they're mostly customizable! Variety is the spice of life, like they say. Pro Street has nearly nothing to set itself apart from it's competitors, and I was counting on the fact that it would feature a decent car list as it's saving grace. Looks like it's not gonna happen this time. lol, even DiRT lasted only 2 days from start to finish for me. But then again it' s just me. Anyhow, Need for Speed brand has been a dominating one on Arcade based racing. For each person not to like it, there will be 3 who will. Thus as long as they can keep these 3:1 ratio, they'd be quite happy to release whatever they want. PS: Good racing games can be replayed up to years. Don't believe me? The GPL has professional leagues since the game was released in 1998 up to today. That's freaking 9 YEARS! Live for Speed communities are still growing strongly and so is rFactor. Both games are now nearing 2 years old and still going strong. |

you can if you change the gear timing. but even then the dual rotary is no match for muscle cars. They might give a hard time because of the lighter car means better Power to Weight ratio, but usually the muscle car will win hands down
