Dell SE198WFP 19" Widescreen is 6-bit TN panel. If i'm not mistaken only Ultrasharp model is 8-bit and non-TN panel.

is there any Dell showroom?

SE198WFP, Dell stated that as "entry model" means its using TN panel.

TN panel is just fine for the rest of us, just they have lesser color dynamic range and poorer viewing angle, but it really is just fine for the rest of us

Only if u re those photographer that using DSLR, then IPS or MVA panels suits you better.

but IPS/MVA panel has longer response time, which is not so good for gamers.

Well, AFAIK, Viewnet have Dell's LCD for sale. Maybe you could have a look there..

bought the speaker as well. No complaints about its performance.

No they don't. DELL is 5 days a week work, certainly they are not some chinaman company who loves to squeeze every single juice out of their employees. But their dispatch delivers on Saturdays.

If I'm correct... DELL only has one on one kind of warranty. The only thing is... most of the time you will receive a refurbished unit. or perhaps you mean money back guarantee??
And 5 feets is more than enuf to watch dvd.. dunno bout pirated dvds though. Theirs tend to be uglier sometimes

Hey i asked her about the panel that they are using and she said its from a Taiwanese company. Cant recall whats the name.....my short term memory really bad la.....Well, at least we know that its panel is from taiwan and the model will be assembled in Penang's DELL factory!
ETA : 5-7 working days....wahhhhh so long ar......cant wait la....

Yo brothers! I am now enjoying my 22". Sharp! Big! Nice colour! Everything good la.....luckily no dead pixel. I've dont the 1:1 mapping via Nvidia Control Panel and it works in my games that doesnt support WS. Cool man this LCD! Worth waiting for almost 3 hours! hahahaha
