but most probably the driver is outdated...

he told me to get the driver from dell website,
but i cant get one too,
there just left 27" and 30" lcd monitor driver...

Hi guys,

How can you tell the difference between 24" DELL LCD HC and non HC version?

Do you all know where can i check the serial number/HC model number?

Plus DELL advertise saying that it has 4 USD 2.0 port, I see mine have 2 and 2 more memory card slot.
*
yep, two are beside the mmc/sd card slot,
there is another two beside the composite/s-video input there...

the HC model are latest revision of the monitor,
the colour are abit better the the previous revision,

how to check the version?
1. press the power off button to switch off the monitor
2. press and HOLD the "+" and "menu" button
3. while holding tis 2 button, switch on the monitor
4. check the version at display setting>display monitor information.

LCD driver is totally unnecessary, it is the display card driver that's important. Installing the driver only if you want the ICC profiles on older platform. On my Vista, I just plug and play and it detects everything.
*
hmm, i think some how is nessary,
coz now i didnt install the driver of the monitor,
i adjust the sharpness and zoom when i am in 1900 x 1200 resolution,
i heard some friend said need to install the driver so tat u can adjust it...
but in 1680x1050, there is no such problem...

anyone have the latest version driver of dell 2407wfp-hc?

hello all. i'm a newb here so please excuse me if this is the wrong place for this comment.

i just bought a Samsung 2232GW 22" LCD widescreen monitor.

everything seems great except one thing, the backlight bleeds through on the top and bottom of the screen. its not as noticeable during the day, but at night you can definitely see it. I can really see it when i make my screen saver "blank".

my question is, are there models/brands that cut down on this backlight issue? i've read quite a few reviews and it seems people are just expecting there to be backlight bleeding, however my parents have a sharp aquos lcd tv that has none that i've ever seen.
*
i think most of the common model have back light bleeding issue in the 22" panel,
try to adjust the brightness, it would help....
run the nvidia monitor optimization...
so far, my dell 24" no back light bleeding prob....

hi, im on a tight budget buying pc for a fren so here goes.  Which of these 22" would u recommend?

Viewsonic VA2226 WIDE

-or-

Dell E228WFP

both around the same price range.
*
i would suggest dell,
coz it with 3 years warranty and next business day exchange...
viewsonic temporary not suitable,
the RMA is kinda headache, taking 1-3month unsure...
