I just looking for pc audio speaker system. Should i take S530D or S730? I just listening to S350DB. Its sounds good but the sub only go down to 40Hz.S530D 75watts & S730 can go down to 20Hz. Mainly use for listening to music & watching movies. Both sub desgn are different. S530DB just normal ported single driver. While S730 with 3 driver for the sub just like Sunfire hifi sub. Any1 can help me decide.
Nowadays a lot of speakers are using this bass reflex membrane. S730 sub isn't ported like S350DB.
I tell you what, go and audition Edifier latest S360DB. I just saw it on Lazada and it's something that I long feel Edifier should be doing. Bookshelf speakers with wireless subwoofer.
I have used quite a number of Edifier speakers.
S2000 S730 R2800
I have auditioned the S350DB and although it does sound more balanced than S730, I still feel S730 is a different kind of beast. In fact I'm using it as my living room main driver and it has no problem filling it up with sound. The only thing you'll have to worry is annoying your neighbours. That's because it won't shine until you get to 50-60% volume at least. That's why many feel S350DB is better. How often do you crank it up? I had mine at least 75% volume for once a week or so.
Given that S730 is about 1.2k while the newer model is 1.5k, I would say check out the new model. Bookshelf will definitely sounds better than tiny satellites for music and you still get a wireless sub which you can choose to turn on freely when you want to watch some movies. Grab your mp3 player and go for audition. Best way to find out.

S360DB Reviews
Apparently, the reason the manufacturer did not include the model Edifier S360DB to any particular type of acoustic systems: for movies, games or music. No doubt, the novelty could wear the title of universal acoustics, which will be satisfied with the most different audience. To some extent familiarity with this new product forced us to revise the existing stereotypes regarding the capabilities and purposes of systems of the format 2.1. Almost everything, whatever you wanted to get from music listening or movie soundtrack, you will get using the Edifier S360DB.

Me as a personal owner of S530D Also reviewed S350DB/S360DB and the S730D, S760D (Thank you Edifier for the opportunity)
I can clearly say, give the new S350DB/S360DB a chance on deep bass Very deep subs without sacrificing audible bass.
They are no match when it comes to S730D and S760D when it comes to heart thumping bass but give them a try if you need the low subs working.
My S530D feels old and outdated the moment when you compare these beasts to it. I still love my S530D but if upgrade is an option I'd go with the new boys (S350DB or S360DB)

I just audience S530DB. But i take S730 used unit to try. Bcos i wanna try S730 claimed sub can go down to 20Hz and powered by 200watts amp. Yes S730 lack on mid range freq. But its far better than my previous altec VS4121. S530DB really got balance audio reproduction. But its classic color not suit my interior deco.

You will get some roll off and missing-in-between crossover frequency when you get 2.1 system. Its unavoidable.
What do you think of S350DB (I think you mistype S530DB) now after you tried S730? Personally I dont think you can go back unless you are really not the blasting type. S730 is so satisfying...
