Rebate amount is the same, no reduction? My SA didn't mention

Called Public Bank this morning and was informed my loan (actually my wife) approved already. Not sure whether the officer made a mistake but he mentioned the interest rate is 2.3%.

My loan amount is RM59k for 4 years. Has anyone obtained similar rate?

Hong Leong Bank also called to inform loan approved. Loan amount and tenure same but interest 2.54%. Looks like Hong Leong's rate is not competitive.

I went to see my SA today regarding the tint. The T4-50 + Pearl price is as follows:

Small Car: RM 1,8k
Medium Car: RM 2k
Large Car: RM 2.2k
MPV / SUV: RM 2.6k

I chose the Llumar Stone-5 which she said is the favourite amongst all car buyers in her dealership. Price is as follows:

Small Car: RM 2k
Medium Car: RM 2.2k
Large Car: RM 2.4k
MPV / SUV: RM 2.6k

I also got a RM 600 discount for this so I pay RM 2k for it.

Which KL Branch? Llumar branch?

If install outside, will void any warranty or not?

Just share with you guys so that you get the right tint as far as Llumar is concerned.

My SA strongly recommended me to get the Stone 5 which I paid RM 2k after discount of RM 600. The way she put it is "Llumar in-house specs". I didn't think too much about it n agreed to take Stone 5.

It is also my own complacency and fault that I didn't really check with Llumar authorised dealer. Today, out of the blues I just decided to google and contacted one of the authorised dealer just to see if I had gotten a good deal.

To my horror, the dealer told me that Llumar does not have Stone 5 range. Instead he recommended me the Crystal 6 which the list price is RM 3.4k but after discount is RM 2.1k. The specs is better than the so called Llumar in-house specs Stone 5 range that my SA recommended me.

Immediately I called my SA and sought clarifcation. She told me is under Llumar authorised dealer's in-house range. I told her in that case I do not want the Stone 5 but the Crystal 6 but she said may be too late coz might have been installed. She said will double check and call me back which she later did and said already installed.

I feel taken for a ride but too bad coz my own fault.

Just wanna share it here so that no one gets ripped off.

Btw, for those interested in the Llumar Crystal 6 range, you may google Llumar authorised dealer in Taman Segar, Cheras to enquire. Their prices I believe are quite competitive.

Which dealer you contacted?

I see. Maybe you may want to consider the Honda authorised window tint, Horizon or Ray Barrier. Will give you peace of mind and I think will be factory installed which is better. You may want to explore with SA.

I got my plate no. already. Most likely can collect on Monday.

Other than the tint issue that I feel I have been ripped off, I am quite satisfied coz I confirmed to buy the car on June 12 n pay booking fee of RM 500. Next Monday can get the car.

Agreed. Thought the SA was pulling my leg when said can get car by end of this month, though now registration only on Monday coz her boss want to push sales to next month since this month target reached.

Wow, that means almost 1 month wait. Sometimes is whether the dealer has sufficient stocks or not. I was lucky when I called SA checked and there were 2 units left, the silver and modern metallic. I took the modern metallic an the other one another SA's customer book.

My SA also said will void the power window warranty. I think all will say the same thing to discourage you from taking outside. They can't earn commission. Outside is always cheaper than SA recommendation. Llumar Crystal 6 quoted me RM 2.7k after voucher. Outside RM 2.1k and still negotiable.

If replacement costs for power window is still much lower than the savings obtained from getting outside tint, then is worth to buy.

Personally, i doubt if the power windows mechanism can get damage so easily. My Myvi so many years already also no issue. Of course if installed through in-house panel gives you peace of mind.
