last time i'm working as logitech distro RMA technician, i use to have tons of that lil dongle.. by using unifying software, any logitech peripheral can be connected to this dongle (even its never been connected before)

but then again that was 7-8 years ago, now working in different field

and yeah, its not bluetooth based

best you can hope for is some /ktard who have spoiled logitech mouse/keyboard to donate his working dongle

actually there's 2 version of that software.. 1 is normal, the other is for unifying

happens once, a customer who bought 200+ m185 mouse, send all of it to a printing company to etch their company logo. that stupid printing company simply take out the dongles and put it in one place, after done printing they return it to the customer.

and that blardy customer ask us to re-pair every single mouse. damn it.

im not familiar with the term "unifying" in this context. so if the transceiver broke, the entire keyboard+mouse is gone?
*
kinda. logitech Unifying technology allows multiple device (logitech only, obviously) to connect to 1 single Unifying dongle.

Logitech items without this Unifying technology cannot connect to Unifying dongle.

However if you can get a working non-Unifying dongle, there's a Logitech software that can help re-pair the device with the dongle.

Say, want to ask.

My K400 wireless keyboard after about 7 years, now a bit wonky.

Most of the time it doesnt detect...turn on and off 3 to 4 times only can detect.
I have changed a different Unifying receiver, but still the same. So does it means its the keyboard problem? If yes, i have to buy a new K400 again.

if using different dongle still facing same issue, means the keyboard itself is the problem. 7 years quite long for a wireless device, the chip might starts to degrade.

you need this and download software for detection https://www.lazada.com.my/catalog/?q=Logite....6eca31e4Zyby4L

or ask any /k/ that got spare or get another cheap logitech mouse that have such dongle

the different between normal dongle and unifying dongle is that orange logo on it

normal dongle only for the device that come from it, while unifying dongle could connect up to 6 logitech device

i got few before but just throw away while cleaning last month  whistling.gif

btw, not all logitech device support it. please check online beforehand
