QUOTE(MeToo @ Mar 9 2021, 12:23 AM) Necro abit. wont that be bad? u are breathing air bad/dirty air from above plaster ceilingThe air will still flow, I'm doing this for my store room to reduce the heat (no moisture), sucking air directly into the plaster ceiling and distributing it to the entire ground floor. As our plaster ceiling will have downlights etc, its not air tight air will definitely flow down thru these holes.. I cant really use a vent hose as i would need to core a hole in my RC wall and i really dont like to do that (also the entire exercise would cost me around 1k (coring, hose, vent cap, repairing plaster ceiling etc). QUOTE(wailing81 @ Mar 9 2021, 08:39 AM) practical, this will suck the moisture out effectively. It is easy DIY.I also wanted to do the same, but my main con can't do the glass cutting. that's why cancel my plan. 1) Takeout the rubber seal around the frame that seal the glass. Use a small flat screw driver or anything that is sharp but not too sharp. 2) the glass will start to free. and remove it out from the frame. Take it to window/door frame/ glass shop. Either make a new 1 or cut a hole on the existing glass. 3) Install back and squeeze back the rubber seal into the gap. Than proceed install the exhaust fan. wailing81 liked this post
