hi all,
i'm looking to upgrade from very old HD tv to 4K LED, 55". OLED is still far fetch in term of budget so i narrowed down to these:
Samsung UA55 RU7300 - RM3,3k - micro dimming, no local Panasonic GX600K - RM3.3k - no local dimming Panasonic GX740K - RM4k - local dimming (GX800 price is slightly more) Sony KD55X7500F - RM3k - frame dimming wtf? (X8500F > RM4.3k)
Must have features: UHD processor HDR (multi HDR support is a bonus) 100Hz Native netflix, etc.
mostly used for movies. no gaming.
which of the above is the best (no other brands will be considered)?
i'm quite lost when it comes into latest test as i have not been up to date about TV for more than 10 years.

QUOTE(mugenz @ Aug 26 2019, 04:05 PM) i RU or NU is newer? i am interested with RU7400 model. 50" which retails around 2.2k to 2.4k Any idea how much is 50" in BestDenki? RU is newer. Overseas users of NU7400 reported the tv has problem with available memory eventhough system shows there is enough space. They cant update apps.

QUOTE(FaezFarhan @ Aug 16 2019, 08:02 AM) Guys can I still get the NU8000 55”? Or it’s out of stock already? Almost finish. There are a few shops in Lazada selling this model but not much stock i guess.. and they are still selling around rm3.8 to 4.1k which is on the high side for an old model. Desa Home did a clearance of this model this month, the lowest i've seen they were selling was rm3.2k. Now no more stock in Desa. For 65" size, there are a few more nrand new stocks left.

QUOTE(FaezFarhan @ Aug 28 2019, 09:56 AM) I see, actually the RM3.8k one from Lazada is from Desa I think. But since a lot of people are saying the RU8000 is lower spec, I gues it’s worth it. How much is the 65” one? Btw, can I get a better TV for RM3.8k? 55 inch. No more stock from Desa. even display units kena sapu. yes RU8000 is newer but in term of brightness it is much lower than NU making it less effective when viewing HDR contents. However, RU's tizen OS is faster and response time is slightly better for gaming. it is also rm1k more than NU, making it not worth the money. 65" NU is about rm5.6k in Desa, still pricey. 2 months ago Best Denki was selling their display unit 65" for rm3999. i missed the boat. I can't find any better HDR-capable tv compared to NU8000 in that price range. I personally think this model can go a loong way until samseng starts selling QD-OLED with similar price. Maybe sifus can recommend other options.

QUOTE(19 Degree South @ Dec 14 2019, 12:09 AM) Sony's red is quite unnatural! Tend to be too red for comfort! I just bought the 8000g 5 days ago! Regretted not taking the LG instead! My old Sony W series PQ is so much better and natural! what's stopping you from making adjustment on the colour?
