Hi guys,

Thinking of getting a new TV with a budget of RM3k. Am looking for a 55" TV and currently looking at Sony KD55X7500F and Samsung UA55NU7100 as candidates as of now. Any comments about these 2 units?

Or do you guys have other units to suggest. I can stretch my budget up to 3.3k if needed.

Thank you in advance.

Spend a little more for the upgrade on NU7400 instead. Should still fit within your budget.

It is one of the very rare , entry level TV in MY which is verified to have support of wider color space of DCI-P3. Up to 94% IIRC .

Got the UA55NU7400 as you said for RM2.7k biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Was actually surprised that I was able to get it at that price! Tried my luck asking at the place I bought at and the sales person said they don't have any on display but can order. Once he mentioned the price, I straight away bought biggrin.gif

Rm3300 then get sony or LG..
Nu7100 i do not suggest.. outdated already.. hahaha
What i can suggest is...
Pick SONY LG SAMSUNG in ur budget..
Compare the specs, apps, hardwares, audio then decide..
I dont know why samsung still bloating useless apps same like mobile..

I first 70% set mind on nu7100.. then compared with just samsung.. NU7100 with NU7400 & NU8000...
Then bought 55 inch NU8000 bcoz of good price..rm3800..
But too bad i never compared with SONY or LG..
I see latest model RU8000 some features taken compared NU8000...

As per your suggestion, did my research and found that the best is NU8000, but way too far out of my budget for now. Settled for NU7400 at RM2.7K. Remaineder of budget will now go to getting a good sound bar biggrin.gif

Slightly older model is still not much different. Maybe not noticeable.

The good thing about older model is that the warranty is still 2 years and if anything malfunctioned, not spare part. Then you get full refund .....  biggrin.gif

Exactly, was thinking of that too. But this may be an as of now TV that I plan to relocate to bedroom later on and buy a new one sometime next year. Already spent most of my budget for house renovation sweat.gif

More saving if buying display unit. Once new models come out the display unit will be on very good sales. I bought one SuperUHD (higher end UHD) at 2k discount. Just 1 month short of warranty expiry, unit got faulty. Full refund and got new TV at new introduction discount. So, got new TV at no cost.

Usually the new model has more feature and improved picture quality at lower price compare to older generation.

Was asking around if any store had the model on display and for sale, but sadly none of them actually carry that unit as display. Hopefully I get good luck as you did. Maybe then I have a little extra money to add on to upgrade icon_rolleyes.gif
