Damn good deal. Where at? I bought Samsung 55NU7400 at just above RM3k. Yours seems like a steal.

Samsung's web browser for my NU7400 is quite smooth and intuitive. No complains at all.

Is the web browser version is d same as NU7100? And does it allow u to install apps such as astro on the go?

Yes, can install apps. It's under the same series, UHD, so should be same interface. Only between different series (example: UHD vs Premium UHD vs QLED), then the interface is different.

any sifu here, Im looking for 55" TV.  Between these 3 model, which is a better buy for overall?

1. Sony KD55X8000G
2. LG 55UM7600PTA
3. Panasonic TH-55GX740K

Priority:
1. Refresh Rate
2. Color Reproductivity

Do not care whether good or bad SQ and how smart the TV is.

Thanks!

Would rather go for a Samsung UA55RU7100KXXM if your priority is the color re-productivity. Not too expensive also, can get for RM2,500+-

I see, tend to avoid samsung. their product tends to last shorter and over-spec their product to my experience. furthermore the refresh rate ffor this tv is not that great. however will get it if manage to find to for rm2k and below.
Looks like many here are against 55" Panasonic GX650. i personally have not tested it

I'm curious, where did you managed to get so cheap quotation especially on LG and Samsung. mind to share?

Really like to recommend Sony X85G but the price is insanely high. for me price to performance ratio making me very hard for me to settle down on this model

Not too sure about the last shorter part, have no experience on that, but I do know that more often than not, they do have shorter warranty periods. Could indirectly indicate that indeed it has a shorter lifespan/more issues per batch.

I don't agree that Samsung TVs has a shorter lifespan, since I last used my Samsung 40A650 from 2009 until 2017, then I sold it to my sister's friend. It still functions to this day by the way. And my current Samsung KS7000 is entering its 4th year now. However I do agree that Samsung products are more expensive than their counterparts. Personally I feel that Samsung TVs have better picture quality than most other brands, and this applies at all price levels. Of course, this is just my own opinion.

I wasn't saying that Samsung has shorter lifespan. At least not to my own experience. Personally, it has been great for me. I'm a huge Samsung fan and most of their products have lasted reasonably long for me. From TVs, monitors and smartphones to washing machines, microwave ovens, aircons and refridgerators, overall experience as a user is definitely positive. I used to have a UA46ES6200 which was great and lasted for years (so sad that they don't do 3D TVs anymore)! Still going on strong now but have shifted it to one of my rented house and gotten myself a UA65RU7400 recently.

Only complain is that I also bought an entry level Samsung fridge and it decided to breakdown just after a year I bought it. It was like only 2 weeks out of the warranty period. Had to pay RM400+- just to get the motherboard replaced, which was like almost 40% of the price of the fridge.

The part on the picture quality of a Samsung TV being better than competitors is definitely true. Just have to walk into a store and do a A-B test with other brands on the similar range and one would agree. Design and user interface/intuitiveness, not much of a difference and hard to tell. All in all, its certainly a solid brand to aspire to own.
