This Fire Emblem is a bit different from the usual. Class mastery takes a while compared to previous series. Do you guys master each class tier first, like beginners, intermediate and only then master and above? Or do you just straight jump to the higher tier?

Previous series seems to give better stats to characters if you master and rank them slowly instead of rushing, this one doesn't feel the same? Or i'm just wrong there. Looks very flexible since you can just skip class, change any class whenever and not lose any progress.

I didn't bother with beginner and intermediate, because you level past them so fast

I aim for advanced and master class,

You can farm skill proficiency in battle, especially the levels that don't take up an action point

I equip the character with like 4 training weapons and let the enemies hit him/her and only counterattack icon_rolleyes.gif

My one biggest word of advice:
Never skip or rest at all because there's always something to do

Found out something (Spoilers)

Because I think I screwed up lol. I tried to make Byleyh jack of all trade, diversify his skills but now I don't have enough for master class lol

In too deep to restart..

Looks like a restart to me. I know why you did this, mostly to recruit the characters you want from other houses is it? But the actual way to do it is to just make those unit support to B, they will actually join you at some point after that. The real requirement is to have high charm stat, and have a support of B rank for that unit. They will then ask you that they wanna join the house. I have two joining mine this way. The rest is not B support yet.

Here's how it goes,

Byleth will always main as a sword user - so to transition to other weapon classes will be harder

My Byleth now is axe user, using axe legendary weapon - as a Wyvern Lord
Really strong, super mobile character

I am trying to recruit most of the characters, they come with personal quest later that rewards legendary weapons from their respective classes icon_rolleyes.gif

yeah I wanted to recruit Ingrid. Wasted few activities points for flying lol even though I have interest in getting Byleth airborne. Got her now, throw a bunch of meats and flowers at her and got her. Three of Black Eagle students got recruited as well lol. Bribing really works

Personal quest is the paralogue map right? Will it just appear as time goes on or based on support level?

Yes personal quest is paralogue map, probably support levels need increasing

I got most of the flying class characters like Petra, Ingrid, Seteth - BTW anyone who play Golden Deer; Claude gets a class called Wyvern Master flex.gif

Man.. I just come across a reddit post saying that recruiting other students into our house is going to have a negative impact on the narrative. Like some part of the story is going to be lifeless with the students not being there.

Man.. It makes sense.. I just over recruited and might just have to reload an old save again. Save the recruiting for my next play if there is any. So far the game is taking a lot of my time. Might put it down after I finish GD route and play it again when all dlcs have been released.

It's a reddit thread - always take with a grain of salt.

and recruiting other students actually made it better, don't know what kind of BS that reddit post is saying

My first playthrough - I didn't bother recruiting people and it was really lifeless when exploring post time skip

Now my second playthrough - so much better recruiting other students - more paralogue battles rewarding moar legendary weapons

Spoiler - Claude's End Game special class

2nd playthrough - Golden Deer - done

Probably one of my most fulfilling playthrough since Golden Deer seems to be the least crazy house,

Seemingly Wyvern Lord for Byleth seems to be the most OP combination along with Stride gambit by the healer

my most powerful units in this playthrough
