i think we should contribute the the rating of each brand tyre...
so we know how long the tyre will last...

CC6 treadwear is 380

michelin XM2 treadwear is 420, not 400 OR it is because of different size have different treadwear rating? hmm.gif

What I mentioned above is the MC6 (Max Contact 6), not CC6 (Comfort Contact 6). Cannot really recall TW rating for CC6 coz not really paying attention to it much, but surely 340 or above.

XM2, well surely it's 400 or higher but I might be mistaken too. smile.gif

usually same rating for same model.but i think the threadwear rating is not standardize. some low threadwear tyres can last long..

longer ? not jalan so much kot ?? or maybe jalan at night only haha.. or short distance only.. or the jalanraya is perfect..

some of people here... got jalan very rough.. so maybe need to consider this... instead of looking for the brands

nope.for example if u compare threadwear of achiles atr sport and sport 2.both threadwear is 400 but atr2 will wear faster.

XM2 is not 500+, it's 400 or just a bit over.

There's no real std for TW as each manufacturer estimate on their own so you should take it with a pinch of salt. Tires with the same or similar TW can have different tread longevity. For example between F1A3 at TW 300 vs PS3 at 320 then which one will finish faster can go either way or similar. However if the TW rating is very big difference, for example PS3 at TW 320 vs RE003 at 220, then surely the RE003 will finish off faster.

yes..agree with u..because my friend always say choose low theadwear tyre grip is better and whatsover.in general can say so.i used toyo r1r tw is 140 if not mistaken but the tyre is durable.last quite long.
