QUOTE(k_eyezax @ Aug 3 2018, 02:52 PM) Im selling mine for rm2390... used for 2 weeks.. all original.. free original case.. pm me if interested... I am super interested in getting a Key2, but buying from the shops I can use CC and EPP it through balance transfer; not to mention the shops selling it sealed and new, and I can chase them if anything goes wrong. The offer for cash has to be significantly lower than the shops. Even the shops are selling them below RRP, if you hold it any longer you are just going to face losses. Hope you can lower the offer. Ok bought already. they keyboard is SUPER DAMN good. My productivity would increase a few folds from using this. A premium given the specs, but the "hidden specs" that is the keyboard is worth RM1000!!
This is crazy. |

Regret to inform you guys that... I have returned my purchase. I have a mild case of OCD, and I could not live with that see-saw feeling on the spacebar. The key is also not as firm as the other keys (which were perfect)
I feel bad about this. Much ado about nothing. Returned it for 3x MiA2 (give to family members and 1 for myself) This see-saw or wobble effect has been greatly discussed in this BB forum. It is not uniform, which means that the problem is in the QC, i think. TO expected I guess, THC is NOT Blackberry OG https://forums.crackberry.com/blackberry-ke...s-like-1152173/ |

QUOTE(jmwm @ Aug 6 2018, 10:45 AM) Was paying attention to this forum closely to really decide whether to get the phone or not. maybe i will get it if the prices go down to the 1600-1800 range. sad to hear about the space key wobble. The phone itself was less responsive than my MiA2, despite using the same SOC (SD660) and having more RAM to work around with (vs my MiA2 4GB/64G). The capacitative touch-screen was not as responsive to my fingers as my Xiamis (A1 and A2) and the finger print reader was HORRIBLE - coming from Xiaomis' super-fast and accurate fingerprint sensors, Key2's FPS leaves lot to be desired, that it got annoying, not to mention it was integrated to the annoyingly wobbling spacebarEven in this thread there were a few chaps who are trying to let go of their units, reasons include "not being satisfied" without going into details. I was lucky that I get to change it to other phones (of same or higher value) I was so pumped up with the keypad as a whole, except for the space-bar. What a waste. Maybe next time, BB » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « This post has been edited by wild_card_my: Aug 6 2018, 11:04 AM |

QUOTE(olygopoly @ Aug 6 2018, 11:07 AM) Dont be. THC should have done better, I guess I expected too much from the OEM; will only buy from direct manufacturers now. I was lucky that I managed to change my purchase, others were not so lucky and had to try to sell the unit. |

QUOTE(olygopoly @ Aug 6 2018, 11:17 AM) I was seriously eyeing for this device but due to the price for the spec and no telco that comes with it makes me decide for a full touchscreen phone. It is good, but not as good as BB's best keyboards. Well like I mentioned, this is NOT BB, designed and manufactured by THC. Maybe they got some BB patents? but not the same. For all intents and purposes, this may be some Chinese phone from Chinese manufacturer, but overpriced due to licensingI guess the keyboard is not the same as the 9900 is it. I remember the 9900 keyboard is so good and not really much clicking sound comes from typing on it. and it was soft too. |

I am so jealous of you guys being able to use the key 2 without any issues. Feels bad man. I have a mild case of OCD, so while many of you guys dont have issues with the space bar, I had issue with it. Or I got one with QC issues. Whatever it is, I will revisit this phone, perhaps a second hand model so I can try the space bar before purchasing - and at lower price points

QUOTE(LiteBulb @ Aug 10 2018, 04:53 PM) Actually, I dont quite get the "paying such price for a sd660" concept. This statement is like saying why buy bmw 2.0cc when you can pay less for a mazda 2.5cc. There are some merits to it, especially since BB is now also run on Android. So you can get just equally good Android using better processorsYes, a BlackBerry is not a bmw, but I am speaking about the core. Processor = Engine. The comparison between BMW and Mazda is inaccurate. Making any comparisons such as that is simply doing you a disservice |

QUOTE(LiteBulb @ Aug 10 2018, 06:02 PM) BlackBerry and other makes uses android as its base. Comparing a petrol Bmw and mazda that runs on 4 tyres makes sense because now Not going to argue about this. If you guys are super happy with your phone, congratulations to you. i wish I could feel the same way with my then-key2. the only concern here is processor speed. Hence, we are only speaking about engine displacement. The scenario now is like RM2500 for a SD660? I could have gotten a SD8xx!" Is like "RM200k for a 2.0cc? I could have gotten a 2.5cc" Have a GREAT weekend! |
