I'm planning to do aluminium kitchen cabinet for my wet kitchen. Need your advice below

1. Any contacts? Prefer those you have engaged before with good service and workmanship. Location Cheras
2. What countertop is recommended? A contractor recommended quartz top on concrete top (Why do i need two layers? I'm confused)
3. I was told that if i want aluminium carcass then i can only choose granite or quartz top, cannot use concrete, is it true?
4. I'm planning to use induction hob. Is there a risk of electrocution if I use aluminium carcass, 3G door, and a quartz top with induction hob?

1) Belkitchen. Service is good. Workmanship unknown cause I didn’t use them at last, I chose melamine instead. Cost concern.

2) Normally 2 layers. For my case the quartz is put on top of a wood board. Put on top concrete maybe for stronger support? This I’m not so sure.

3) No it’s not true. You can build aluminium carcass to concrete top.

4) I think everything got risk. Gas hob risk of gas leak. Water heater also got risk. Basically all safety precautions shall be in place both by manufacturers & users. Direct contact of the cooker will be table top, which is not aluminium/conductor.

1. bel kitchen, i am using it at the moment. The price is cheap and quality is much more better than melamine
2. China/local Quartz is the common and ugly surface, but durable enough. Go with premium quartz/solid surface/solid wood if you have budget
3. Basically anything is possible, but not so logical to have concrete on top of aluminum carcass.

Has anyone engaged weco for their kitchen aluminium cabinet before? They seem to be quite new in the kitchen cabinet industry and is previously from the auto gate industry

I mentioned I didn't use Belkitchen cause I went for melamine instead.
I chose Intech Kitchen, fair price with excellent service.

I did survey Intech Kitchen too. Which sales person did you deal with?

I have installed a new set of cabinet from Alloy Kitchen recently.
Product is OK but the services were less professional.
Overall experience was not pleasant and no apology and follow up.
Price is also not cheap...
Still waiting them to resolve some issues now.

Anyway, if their product and price meet your expectation and services are at lower priority, you may go for it.

I have gotten a quote from them. Price is definitely on the higher side and they have many customers so can't expect to have personalized service. They may not be very responsive to your queries, I might think they are understaffed too.

Product quality wise I still believe they are one of the best in the business.

I believe the person I dealt with were the boss & his wife...

How theirs workmanship? I’m headache of the price of carpentry, it’s so much higher than my expectation.

I personally was satisfied. Anyhow this is subjective as different expectation from different individual.

Is there any good aluminum kitchen cabinet shop out there? Is AL Aluminum good?

i just signed up with alustil. compared their prices and product with alloy kitchen - and decided to go with alustil.

Yet to install. Hopefully outcome is as expected and satisfactory.

Do update us on your experience with them.

I been ordering my glass, aluminium doors and cabinets from a shop in Sg Buloh.

Definitely not cheap but the quality and workmanship is among the best I have come across.

I have done it for 2 wet kitchens and was satisfied with the results.

I am not that big a fan of using aluminium for cabinets inside the house.

PM me if you are interested though I would allow for some lead time because he is always busy with lots of work.
