Just want to add on; try to score some gigs / shows.. find out who are the people behind these shows or the organizers and send them your demo either through email/FB or whatever social media platforms they're on. There are many artists & bands, sure, but you'd be surprised to know just how small the scene/industry actually is here in Malaysia and most are usually very supportive.

Get out there, and when you do.. tell them where to get more (your youtube or FB page). Gain followers
