Well...I'm trying the beta...which makes me decide 3 possible routes...

Route 1: Get the game
Route 2: *Ahem* the game
Route 3: F*** the game and play something else instead

While the gates of WWI just opened, StarCraftWire.net should definitely be the first to give any factual reports on anything inside of all different sources. This is information from WWI, but given to us the night before by Karune, but with the condition of not disclosing it until this minute.

StarCraft 2 Changes:

General

    * Vespene Gas Assimilators/Refineries/Extractors now have the ability to double the amount of workers that can enter the building at a time for 30 seconds. This ability has no cost, but a cooldown (~2 min). This is a way to "macro" additional gas creation to boost production.
    * Gas cost has increased on a lot of buildings.


Terran

    * The Terrans are getting closer to being "done".
    * New building animations
    * New icons


Zerg

    * The Hive Queen no longer creates Zerg defence.
    * Drones now mutate into Zerg defence structures.
    * The Hive Queen is now much stronger on creep, more powerful, and has a lot more combat value while defending the Hive Cluster.
    * New ability for the Hive Queen: Mutate Larva - Turns a Larva into a Mutant Larva, has a Mineral and Vespene Gas cost.
    * New Zerg unit: Mutant Larva
          o Shares all abilities (& limits) and appearance of a Larva, including mutation into other Zerg units.
          o Is bigger than a Larva.
          o Requires 1 unit of control.
          o Can be controlled to move like a normal unit.
          o Can not use any other action than move and mutate.
          o Can sustain life even when not over creep.
          o If all requirements are met, can mutate into another unit almost instantly (~2 sec), anywhere on the map.
          o Cost for mutations still needs to be paid, and additional control requirements are added.
          o Used for creating large Zerg forces at once, but at an increased cost (making the Mutant Larva).


With all this said and done, there will be a LOT more StarCraft info revealed within a few hours, so stay tuned. In the meanwhile, enjoy the streamed WWI introduction, and I'll report more as it happens!

it's a shame that blizzard decided not to released sc2 this year,
good news for me since i need a new rig to play sc2
either way, the game is progressing positively with lotsa new units
