damn.. there is some problem with my getz.

everytime i start my engine, there is some "pak pak" sound...

is like the electric sound, tht both side touch each other and form spark.. although cant see any sparks.

any idea?

ok.. just managed to get my getz back..

the mechenic told me he fix the same problem with another getz as well
there was some losen part on the belt.. tht cause the sparks...

There are many bodykit types available for Getz. All depends on your own preference, which ones you like the most.

As a matter of fact, there are a whole load of options for a Getz cosmetic mods, such as:

Tail Lights
Fog Lights
Front Lights
Interior
Tyres & Rims
etc

You have to get your facts right, it's not "Expensive". The Gets has a 45 litre tank so for a full tank:

45 litre x RM1.92 = RM86.40

It all depends on the size of the tank of a car that you're driving

Leaving your car idle for more than 3 minutes is NOT advisable. Actually, your car warms up by hitting the road, having the Pistons and Engine running at the same time. To warm up your car, a mere 30 seconds - 2 minutes is enough since it allows the fuel to start pumping in your car. Just make sure to keep a low RPM at the beginning of your journey so as not to overs-stress your car's engine and pistons.

"Excessive idling creates extra engine wear and breeds contaminants in the oil. Idling is one of the most severe modes of engine operation."

Just wanna share my experience.. i just installed some fuel saving thingy to my 1.3l getz which includes, 2x microcompressors + voltage stabilizer + magnet thingy.. even tho i'm not a believer when it comes to that magnet thingy.. (since i saw an episode of mythbusters saying that the magnet is nothing but crap), to my suprise, this combination gave me quite good FC. the latest i got is:

RM68.20 for 406.5KM
That's RM1 for every 5.96KM or RM10=59.6KM
Petrol im using is shell super
Driving condition is normal, i'm a heavy footer btw.. 60% highway, 40% roadway. Pretty good eh?

i part with RM350 only to get those items incl installation. hope i'll get return profits in no time.. hehe..

So what was your FC before you installed those in your ride mate?

My current FC (without any fuel saving thingy) is RM1 for each 5.73KM (11KM per Litre)

4got to mention.. before, it was RM1 = 5.3KM (similar driving condition as mentioned).. oh ya, i oso change the spark plug to bosch super 4 platinum, using castrol 10w 40 magnatec.

RM1 for 5.7KM w/out those magnet/compressors stuffs is pretty good for ur ride.
BTW, urs are 1.4 version rite? manual or auto? if 1.4 i think u can do better mileage..so i heard la..

Thinking of changing the air filter as well.. maybe k&n drop in or better still, open pod one. heard some getzers mention it can saves fuel as well.. anybody knows where to find the k&n open pod filter for getz?

Yup, using K&N Drop-in filter or open pod can decrease FC consumption as well as adds a little boost to your car's pickup. You can get it from most car service centres.

By the way, mine is 1.4(A)

is it possible to get the K&N filters (drop-in or open pod) at Hyundai SC? last time i serviced my getz at kajang (plusone) branch, i ask them not to change the air filter cos i wanna find and buy that myself.. but unfortunately, none of the car acessories shop that i went to, sell drop-in nor even open pod filter which can fit getz. a shop even try to install open-pod filter to my getz(not K&N of cos..just a clone one) but after bout an hour, they surrendered.. hehe.. so now, i'm still running on the old stndard filter..

i know that a fellow lyn forumer do sell K&N drop in filter for most vehicles, but still thinking of trying the open-pod one (57i international intake kits) if its easily available, and of cos.. if its not way off my budget..
