I had the same thought as u too initially cos I never tried using a curved monitor before. U can view some review videos from YouTube before making your decision. I bought my Samsung 27" CH711 monitor from Teng_08. Super happy with my purchase.
It took me some time to get used to the curved display. After using it for a few days, I'm really liking the look and immersive feel. I was gonna go with 24" but after reading reviews that 24" curve does not give that immersive look and feel, I went for 27". I might consider a 34" next when my budget is enough. Maybe end of the year  laugh.gif

Yes, totally agree. I like using curve monitor especially when I'm playing games (Tomb Raider, COD, God of War).
And personally I feel curved monitor is more practical compared to a curved TV.
Bcos for curved monitor, only one person is facing the screen and u really get that immersive feel.
Whereas for curved TV in living room, u'll have people sitting at the sofa watching the TV from different angles. Not really a nice experience. I kinda regret buying a curved TV for my parents.
Always go for flat TV for living room (personal opinion).
