can anyone help me to see the pro and con between these three monitor?
i mainly for movie and game(dota 2 and nba 2k18, not those hardcore gaming type)
i wonder whether 29 inch will be too difficult to play dota 2?
so far i more preferable on the benq because of its eye protection and 27inch

Thanks

All 3 of them are pretty good monitors for the purposes you have mentioned.

But it seems like you are going for FHD ( 1080P ) , the 27 inches are a little too large you will start to notice some blurry and jagged details in the games you are playing .

The sweet spot for 1080p is at 24 inches .Something worth noting , the LG model is wide screen.

There is something that is very debatable , the "blue light protection" thing marketed by these monitor brands for their PR .

I have heard countless claims on how great they are but in actual reality I find them more of a marketing gimmick . If you play games and watch movie for a long while, your eyes are still going to get strained regardless of the blue light reduction .

Of course that is not to completely disregard them , I just don't find them a very big deal . Not to mention you can always get a pair of gaming glasses if you truly believe in these. They should not be a primary factor for you when choosing monitors

thanks for the reply.

as for 1080p u mean greater than 24inch is not so beautiful the screen?
if i want to go for 27inch, do u have any other recommendation?

i did notice the lg is widescreen but i worry that some game or movie is not compatible and i think will give it a pass

as for the blue light protection, i somehow agree with your point.

Let's just say from a normal viewing distance (20-26 inches from screen ) , anything larger than 24 inches will reveal more details on the screen . But because of the lower pixel counts these extra details will be shown in more blurry form , compare to higher resolution . Which is why people tend to go for higher resolution for larger screen

For reference , the most comfortable size for viewing :

23-24-25 inches : FHD @ 1080p
27 inches : QHD @ 1440p
32 inches : UHD @ 2160P /4k

Of course this isn't a rule by all means , just a standard preference set by the monitor experts .

If you insist on sticking to 27 inches @ 1080p , Acer R271 is a good choice (60hz refresh rate , IPS )

If you want a higher refresh rate , consider the Viewsonic XG2701 (144 hz refresh rate ) but it also come with a higher price tag (1.5k ~)

Similar to the 23 inches version , this is a VA panel monitor meaning it has pretty good contrast rating @ 1:3000

Again as many would have said , 27 inches may actually be a little too large for FHD . If you need to be reading a lot of fonts at this size , you will notice some clarity issues around the texts . But for casual gaming and other entertainment purposes , it is probably fine

P/S : Also come equipped with free-sync so if you have an AMD card you could benefit from it

But too bad I probably going for intel card.

Do u think curve is unnecessary? Because I worry that I might find it unusual at first or I should just go for the benq

I had the same thought as u too initially cos I never tried using a curved monitor before. U can view some review videos from YouTube before making your decision. I bought my Samsung 27" CH711 monitor from Teng_08. Super happy with my purchase.
It took me some time to get used to the curved display. After using it for a few days, I'm really liking the look and immersive feel. I was gonna go with 24" but after reading reviews that 24" curve does not give that immersive look and feel, I went for 27". I might consider a 34" next when my budget is enough. Maybe end of the year  laugh.gif

For me , nothing in the world of monitor yet can beat the value and safety of BenQ EW2775ZH 27". It has extremely good deep black almost to OLED level and its Low Light PLUS filter and flicker free screen can save a million dollar on eyecare later on in your life . if you spent more than 4 hours a day of your life everyday in front of a monitor , this is it.
It has the latest VA panel and color reproduction has improve tremendously ,only losing out slightly to the best of IPS on the naked eye if you applied the right setting.

Yes, totally agree. I like using curve monitor especially when I'm playing games (Tomb Raider, COD, God of War).
And personally I feel curved monitor is more practical compared to a curved TV.
Bcos for curved monitor, only one person is facing the screen and u really get that immersive feel.
Whereas for curved TV in living room, u'll have people sitting at the sofa watching the TV from different angles. Not really a nice experience. I kinda regret buying a curved TV for my parents.
Always go for flat TV for living room (personal opinion).

ooo ouch, so planning to change for them? haha then u can just take tat curved one back to your "game station." HAHAHAHAH

Any owners here on this particular model? Can't seem to get much review info.most I get is Korean reviews.
Do share your experience or insight as I'm looking forward to get this for my budget setup.
