He installed vista first but there's a tutorial on the web teaching how to install it this way.The driver he got it from a link from previous post.
And the heat problem according to him is excellent,on for 16 hours without aircon but still manage to stay below warm level(Idle mode).but its very gud ventilation compare to my friends asus which is quite warm. |

QUOTE(Jeffery @ Aug 18 2007, 01:23 AM) i asked this question to john last time. S41 came wif DDR2 667Mhz ram, but the system somehow use only 320 to 390mhz of the ram. As long as u check it, it's PC2 5300 then it's DDR2 667mhz Oh thanks. That scared me coz i used CPU Z and my RAM clock is only 333MHz i tought the dealer change my RAM secretly.Added on August 23, 2007, 10:00 am[quote=john_jay2,Aug 17 2007, 11:56 PM] u so lucky ar ^ ^ vaio which model ??? VAIO SZ series lo.but dunno which specific model. This post has been edited by freeman1314: Aug 23 2007, 10:00 AM |

I have some question which is bothering me for quite a while:
Will it harm my laptop if my laptop is running e.g.:I'm running a virus scanning program. And then i close my lid then put it in the bag(vertical) then walk around shaking it? Will the shock or vibration sopilt my laptop? I mean walking around for quite sometime not juz for a while. thanks. |

QUOTE(300078 @ Aug 25 2007, 06:45 PM) WOW Bro pls dun do so! The heat may still be ok since u just doing simple processing, but if u walk around ur harddisk may fail u very fast! The s41 is not design for high mobility and the Harddisk does not have shock and impact protection! Ouch, lucky i haven't do so or I'll be crying right now.but my friend asus F8j he really use it's "mobility" playing games on the floor then close the lid move up stairs go to kitchen just trying to find a comfortable place for him Me mysefl dun even dare to used it in a moving car! He said laptop ma sure nid to bring here bring there one only called laptop |

I'm planning to add another 2gb of ram to my s41.Anyone have any sugestion or warning?
A dealer quote me with the brand "A data" DDR2 667MHz for RM 148 dunno whether is it worth it or not. I heard that kingston doesn't cope with S41 very well in previous post, how about corsair? My purpose of adding RAM is for GAMING!!! |
