QUOTE(Joelles @ Jan 21 2008, 02:34 PM) That means the QEye driver is totally useless in WinXP? Well, should ask my frined to uninstall it then. Thanks for the information anyway. ya...in win xp, if u install driver for the webcam it will disturb the system coz xp itself oledi allocated a driver for it ^^. That's why i dun c a reason of installing it It's funny that u actually explain the use of a webcam haha This post has been edited by Jeffery: Jan 21 2008, 10:10 PM

QUOTE(dude89 @ Jan 22 2008, 01:48 PM) Hey guys.. Planning to get a S41 for myself. What do u guys think about it? Wud i be able to change to windows xp instead of linux? Yes... our s41 baby able to do that. If u lazy to download the xp driver which u can't find in benq website u can ask for the dealer to burn a driver cd for u.

wow....nowadays s41 have so many models adi... i oso dunno which one is which one haha... But for those who dunno which to get, c the proccessor. T7500 is the highest end for s41 (if i'm not mistaken), then is T7300. Both of them possess 4MB L2 Cache (though it has not much notable performance diff). For value wise, is T7250 which has only 2MB L2 Cache, performs better than T7100 since it's 200mhz higher. I think getting the T7250 is the most ideal one.
p/s: Try not to get those wif 667mhz FSB which available in T5xxx proc coz it's a lower end product compare to T7xxx series and has performance diff.

QUOTE(dude89 @ Jan 24 2008, 11:58 AM) Do u guys think that the overly-sensitive dvd drive is fixed in their newer models? Scared when i buy that got prob reading dvds. nvm lo if the problem really bother u then change other brand dvd rom at around Rm200... For the readyboost vista having, it's helps when u have lack of ram but I think if ur ram is 2GB above shud be no significant diff

QUOTE(aizen @ Jan 24 2008, 10:50 PM) why do u say so..at least tell me the reasons..i read in anandtech website it says the new Core 2 Duo T9000 and T8000 series work in modified Santa Rosa platforms, using the same mobile 965 chipset. As long as there is motherboard support, you can use a mobile Penryn (similar to the situation on the desktop).it uses the same voltage oso..(correct me if i'm wrong) i saw ur question that day but i'm not sure so i didnt reply Anyway, mayb u can do some research for us for this matter

i tried core temp and speedfan to monitor but it only shows hardisk and cpu temp but no gpu temp. lol... my s41 juz formatted, no games available to try...sigh... but i tried nvidia stability test for few mins wif OC, the core temp increase from 49C to 60C. But i dun think it's gpu who causes the increment of cpu temp coz the stability oso stresses the cpu...
