Anyway, I've got it and now most of my problems seem to have disappeared. I'm still holding my breath however. Praying stuff doesn't happen again.

Funny thing is, my external requires no drivers at all. Did you install the chipset drivers for the S41? I formatted my drive with my old rig which was using XP Pro and i just plugged it into an external. No difference.
