July Tournament Conclusion


Between delayed warp jump, Tzeentch's game of fate, stucked drop pod and other minor events; when the dust finally settled at the Wangsa Maju sector... the Imperium of Man stood triump over countless bodies of heretics, mutants and foul xenos alike. Untold number of souls being purged by the flame of conflict and still more lost to the friendly fire. A few record has been broken today, from the first ever casualty of drop pod mulfunction of Osiris regiment, new comers beating LYNK veterian members to the first ever human race achieving first place out of the 5 tournamnets so far.

Although the conflict here ended, out there in the corners of the universe eternal war continue to whack havoc across the dark space of 40k.

Until we meet again, the Emperor Protects.

* Crisis suits now regenerate health
* Some tool tips have been modified
* Ability to Place Tainted ward within an area around Chaos commander
* Mod Manger has been fixed
* The Banshees' ability (Call of War) has a new sound effect

* Units no longer stop when they activate an ability
* Harlequins now benefit from the Farseer's hero upgrades
* Chimeras are capped at 6
* Even more dakka upgrade now affects Flash Gitz. The more dakka upgrade gives a 15% upgrade, and even more dakka gives a further 15% damage boost.
* Necron Pariahs no longer poison buildings
* Psychic Inquisition no longer does friendly fire
* The Daemon Prince can now use the Tainted Auspex ability
* Fire Dragons are "heavier"
* Enemy commanders now carry on attacking the Tau Commander, even if it is knocked back
* HWT now face the right direction when deployed.
* Squads now get a 200 morale bonus with an attached Chaplain
* Attack Scarabs are capped at 3
* The Orky Fort upgrade no longer gives the Ork HQ an unidentified armour type
* HWTs regenerate HP faster
* The Nob armour upgrade connected to the Orky Fort upgrade has been removed (it is now upgraded in the Pile of Gunz)
* Harliquin's kiss now has a larger range


Here's a list of graphical changes

* IG weapons now glow when weapon specialization is reserched.
* Generatos have a green glow when they do not decay. It turns orange when they start to decay, and red when they have fully decayed
* HellHounds now have a new visual for "Let It Burn"
* Greater Knarloc now has funky looking effects when attacking
* You can now go down to 0,0,0 in the army painter, making true black
* Various icons changed
* Font size is different for HP display
* When a single squad is selected, the number in that squad is a smaller font.
* The kroot hp increase from cannibalizing is now displayed as a large number on the unit portrait just below the squad size.

What DOW?

Dawn of War is an RTS game that created in 2006 that based on the popular Tabletop game Warhammer 40K. It had great success It has expanded to 3 expansions Winter Assault making debut to the Imperial Guard (one of the DOW playable races) and Dark Crusade making debut to Tau and Necron ( another one of the DOW playable races). Soon a new expansion called Soulstorm made by an outside studio "Iron Lore". Soulstorm introduce 2 more new race which is only 1 race is so far announce. Who are called the Dark Eldar. Each expansion comes with different game play style but it's recommended to play the lastest expansion if you don't want to be left out.

Who are we?
A bunch of dedicated Malaysian DOW fans who enjoys playing DOW and just want to have a place to get together.

What do we do?
We discuss strategy, tactics, current news or just random chit chats, but mostly DOW related stuff

Anything else?
If you are ever lonely or just want to make a friend and play a game at the same time or you're just bored of AI then we have a DOW gaming session for everyone to meet up once a week.
Update: Currently with the DOW regulars mostly out of action. Our Sat meetings are currently on roll call basis. So do discuss with the members before going.

Where izzit?
Since Sat night is a prime time for cyber café goers. We usually go to different Cyber Cafes time to time. So its advise to consult the people coming before going. Time is pretty much fixed from 8pm and onwards/

No one really knows but we hope more and more people will join this community and some day DOW will be a main stream game in Malaysia

WTF there so many Originals what do I need?
Well the Relic created a flexible system so you don't really need all 4 expansions to play. If u just want to play the 2 races Tau and Necron online then Dark Crusade is just enough. If you want play Space Marine, Chaos, Eldar and Orks then Dawn of war is needed. If you really really must have IG then you need Winter assault.

Currently with Soulstorm coming is highly assume Soulstorm is needed to play the 2 new race. So it can't be confirmed until the game is release.

Anyway Relic has now ease noobs suffering with introducing Dawn Of War Anthology which have all 7 race in 1 Box.

Same as DCPro,this mod also rebalance the whole game and add loads of new units.

-Resized units to make them look more realistic.
-Since infantry are smaller, they also move slower, so the use of transport is a good option.

Sapce Hulk 1

Description:
Hi guys! Space Hulk Coop is a Modification of the RTS game Dawn of War. Coop is by no means a multi-player only style of game, but a more fast and furious style. The only things that differs from the "Coming Soon" Single Player edition is Weapon Jams and Blip markers. Space Hulk is all about Strategy and a players ability to work out the odds! In Single Player e.g. is the corridor long enough for me to clear a jam if I get one. Coop is similar e.g. is this corridor long enough for me to kill the next on coming horde. Which is harder, humm... I would say that they are about the same - the main difference is in Coop you tend to go down faster if you loose some Terminators. This is why it is called Coop, the game design was created to handle 2/3 squads of terminators versa 2 possible AI enemies Chaos Warp Spawns or of course Genestealers. You can put in some AI Terminator squads if you need the help, I built the squads on top of the normal Dawn of War AI. So they will move around and engage the enemy while you complete the mission. I would recommend playing online as well, the code has been setup so that allied squads can complete the mission objectives as well.

This new Version of Space Hulk Coop : version 0.8 has some new features in it. One is of course some new maps. More cooler than that is the new Retrieve Relic Mission Type. There is a relic on the map naturally and you have to get it, once a terminator grabs it he becomes the relic holder. Then you must protect the relic holder and get him to the designated exit. If the Relic holder is killed then the enemy gets the relic and you fail the mission. The real catch is that the exit point is random. It might not be in the same place next time you play, hehe! And Cooler than that, I have added a new kill team - Enter the Necrons! Now, they looked why to cool not to have them in their. Don't panic Necrons fans, I didn't do a dodge job! They have their own UI and their own unique abilities. Terminator's are more robust (as you would expect), but the Necrons have strong abilities that makes up for strength. I would be interested to hear from any Necron fans about them. I haven't done an AI for the Necrons so you would be on your own with that one. I have also done a Necron ship interior to complete the Necron Feel.

Space Hulk 2 : Descent to Purgatorum

Description:
This is a must have for Space Hulk Players. This is really polished stuff. I have significantly reduced the possibility of jamming if not firing. I say significantly, as it is still possible - but unlikely. They definitely won't jam if their not near the fight. I have all so added hot keys for all the abilities, this makes life so much easier. With the help of Hanger-8, we have setup up a new painter. So there is almost no limit to the customization of your termi squad.
