Probably i should share this with you guys. See picture below comparing Castrol Malaysia and Europe that I bought from Tesco in Paradigm mall. What do you guys think? I think this is not about the seller selling fake oil, which I don't think so it's fake probably just certified recycled oil, but more towards where the oil was made. I read somewhere that EU has regulation that require most of its EO to be recycled. That could explain why the color is darker compare to local EO.

As for Paulhew, I have asked Van-li through Shopee chat box and they are partners/joint venture. Refer to attached screen captured. So do tell me what can you conclude from here?

Those who want to be safe, simple, don't buy EU made EO. Just buy those EO made for Japanese car like Nissan, Toyota, Honda, Mitsui sell by Van-li and Paulhew. See if the color is the same as the EO that you can buy from the official SC. Do report back here the findings. I was told Nissan EO (fully synthetic) sell by Paulhew is genuine and has the same color as the official SC.

Kawan if those oil are fake wouldn't the authority takes action especially those who sell genuine oil? Why till now for so many years no action taken? No data that say the EO are actually fake. All just play guessing. Besides are recycled oil fake oil if done right and follow the European standard? No one can proof or disproof it. All hearsay and look at color only and that justify your statement of fake oil being used. Come on la dude.

Still, with all that said EU EO is not going to be in my prefer list. Hahahahaha.

You're right. 5W30 looks slightly darker. I paused all 3 videos and compared the color. Understood that 5W30 should be slightly worse in protecting the metal wear from 5W40 but what I didn't know is that 10W40 perform comparably with 5W30. You may be right also in saying that darker could have more synthetic blend in it but still all these are just based on what we think and not fact with data. One thing is true though is that hypermarket most likely will not sell fake oil. I have asked all 3 i.e. Giant, Jusco and Tesco how they ensure the EO is genuine through FB messenger and of course their response is quite generic where they talk about quality control is very stringent blah blah blah. But I still think they will personally verify the credibility of the seller before actually allowing them to put stock into their stores. The sellers, even though they may think of ways to make huge profit I believe they won't daringly put so call all local recycled oil into the shelves. With so many users commented that they used hypermarket EO for so many damn years without any issue I think it is still safe to buy. The catch is change EO when it's about time (6 months) or reach the certain mileage (SS at 7k, FS at 10k). To be much safer then just buy EO made for Japanese car lo from reputable seller like Vanli and Paulhew. Afterall it's just oil only mah. I'm going with the latter approach

I personally bought and I believe I have made it clear. Why is it still not clear to you? It's either you don't believe which entirely up to you or just believe it.

Yup you may go ahead if it's fine with you to pay RM100++ more for EO than going for cheaper option elsewhere.
