Would like to ask. Is anybody using any of these phone holders? Do they hold the phone without any issues of the phone holder getting loose and doesn't stick on the dashboard, with the whole thing dropping to the floor?

Which one is better?

Do not stick on the dashboard, it will drop, unless you use glue. instead, stick it on windscreen.

Thanks for the tips man. Was a bit late to reply as was engrossed with the recent political scene as messages keep bombarding my Whatsapp. Our ex-PM is surely quite memalukan at the moment with all the recent development that's popping up on the media, from being blacklisted by the current PM from leaving the country and dropped as Umno president to the raid of Pavilion condo where the luxury handbags bought by Rosmah were being transferred to (one handbag is reported to cost RM200,000 and she's got dozens.. Yikes). Sorry got carried away.

Since you have mentioned this, I have dropped both these phone holders from the purchase list. I've tried an almost similar type of phone holder by sticking it onto the windscreen and it still fell off the windscreen onto the floor once in a while, together with the phone, apart from slightly blocking the view of the road. In this sense, I have pretty much ruled out phone holders which stick to the windscreen.

I've ordered this one instead. I'll try it first and see how it works out. If this one still ends up on the floor, guess I won't be using any phone holder inside the car after all.

I got No. 1. The base lock became loose after few months of use - or rather few weeks parked under the hot sun. Now the thing will fall off easily.

Thanks for the heads-up man. You saved my day as I thought of trying one of these phone holders. Since they will also drop on the floor, guess I"ll just scrap the idea once and for all.

For everyone's information, I am using this phone holder now shown in the picture below. It will stay on the dashboard of your car provided you don't do the following:-

1. Abrupt hard braking
2. Taking corners or bends at moderately high speed.

The thing will stay on the dashboard even if you drive considerably fast on a straight road. However, the holder together with the phone will drop to the floor if you do any of the above.
