QUOTE(Acrisius @ Nov 23 2009, 12:52 PM) About the speed you getting. It depends on 2 things. First is from your port's speed configuration. This is how the DSLAM allow a single port out with a range of speed. like from the lowest to highest. Second thing, where your username's speed capping. The speed was actually depends on what kind of package you subscribed. Example, 512Kbps,1Mbps,2Mbps and 4Mbps. Okay, here's the thing. If you manage to request to the Network Dept. for them to help you configure your port's speed into higher than what you subscribed. Eventually you will get speed ahead where fully 100% or 110% faster than your original speed. Your port configured under 4Mbps. For the physical or real time output, the best you will get is around 80-90% of the port's speed. That's why you get around 3.2-3.5Mbps. But if your port's speed was higher than 4Mbps, like 5Mbps. The output speed, will be around 4-4.5Mbps. But there is a drawback, once your port configured to a higher speed. It will be reduce your line signal too (SNR and Line Att.) It may contribute to unstable connection. To do that, you need to make sure you have a very strong signal under 4Mbps. ohh...thanks for that. means, if i capped it to 5, but my snr is not good enough i would end up getting more worst connection than what i have now right? thanks for the information. any optimization tips that you guys here apply for your screamyx?

my house phone is at the kitchen while my room is behind it. i wanna connect my desktop to the modem. it's better for me to buy RJ11 cable and bring the modem in my room or i buy the straight cable and leave the modem outside near the phone line?

QUOTE(MX510 @ Nov 28 2009, 07:23 AM) Why not if u don't like streaming just download the youtube to ur pc using internet download manager? It would be an awesome speed it is not. the speed is much worst, around 20-30++kbps. using maxis bb much much more faster bro. hey if if i've been miscapped whats the easiest way to bring back the actual speed? can't stand seeing it at 2mbps. wtf
