Interested to know how you run your rig.

BIOS overclocked means that your overclocking is set in BIOS.
Windows overclocked means that your overclocking is done with windows apps (BIOS settings are normal)

Information required is as above. Also please include:

If running 24/7, rig use for what purpose?
e.g. downloading P2P, folding, don't mind wasting electricity or rig run as a heat generator!

If running 24/7 + BIOS OC 24/7:
Don't you think this will reduce the life-span of your rig??? sweat.gif
Especially when only doing BT!!!
Why not OC when required? See Advance guide to OC - BIOS OC but windows C&Q

My rig:
Switched on only when at home
---Reason : Nobody at home
Normal use most of the time
Windows overclocked when playing games or need CPU power

Hmmm... a lot of forumers doing 24/7 on + 24/7 BIOS overclock.

Question (added in first post):
1) Don't you think doing the above will reduce the life-span of your rig?
2) Especially when you are only doing BT!!!! sweat.gif
3) Why not overclock when needed? e.g. when BT, use C&Q so less power consumption; when gaming/folding/CPU intensive apps, then only OC..... hmm.gif

Look's like a major proportion of our forumers are doing 24/7 BIOS OC, 24/7 rig on.

Read this - Advance guide on BIOS OC (C&Q disable) but running C&Q in windows!!!

we oc our rig just for fun or better performance, dude.... u never know how fun is it to overclock ur cpu!

True, but after you've done OC, you have nothing to do already. Why not then control you OC in windows. OC when needed, C&Q when idle/BT/surfing.....
