Touch wood My note 2 and 3 still works fine, no failure apart from battery life degraded.
I jx notice, the zenfone I mentioned in earlier post It's Zenfone 2, with Intel soc (no wonder Mobo spoil, lol), warranty replace to Zenfone 3 And last I remember, b4 2018 cny still got ota
Looks like I have better luck with all 3 Zenfone variants below:

Yeah, for me it’s not just the battery, coz you have Lenovo P2 and the Mi Max with that kind of battery capacity already, but pure Android with that battery size is something new
Ah, forgot to mention that as I'm too preoccupied with the commenting on the hardware side. As a whole, the battery life would still be first for me but the near stock Android experience would definitely come second.☺️
They all performed very well both hardware and software based on my short term usage...
Never did liked ASUS before as their Redmi-Note-level offering was always two generations behind when it comes to it's SoC (processor). Now not anymore.
Not sure what the name try to imply.. max mean big? But its less than 6 inch.. pro mean high spec? Nope..
My hypothesis....
Max = Maximum energy supply for multimedia, gaming and navigation experience... these are the Top 3 features that eat the energy like nobody business...
"P"lus = Snap400 series... for average user
"P"ro = Snap600 series... for multimedia and casual gaming
"P"remium = Snap800 series... for ultimate experience for all features...especially camera department...
Yeah...they all starts with alphabet "P" ...LOL...
Are we expecting Premium variant from Asus soon...?

Why still on Micro USB? Sad. Will wait for newer model.
Oh well, to me the exclusion of 5GHz AC WiFi is more serious than lack of Type-C port... I don't understand why the 5GHz AC WiFi of Snap636 SoC for this phone has been "accidentally" deactivated...hopefully Asus will push OTA to enable back the 5GHz AC (if this is even possible...).
Throwing the Corning Gorrila Glass and Qualcomm Quick-Charge 3.0 are understandable to reduce the cost...but basic 5GHz AC WiFi is a big mistake...

mean this device dont have Corning Gorilla Glass protected.??????plus none 5GHZ ac wifi... erm this is a big issue with me ... quick charge 2 is ok since both 0-100% really dont have big GAP......

Yeah, agree. 5GHz AC WiFi seems like a given for most phones, even more so in 2018.
