Hi guys, my car's auto headlamp is not working. The headlamp just switches on whenever I put it on auto. Even in direct sunlight. Sensor problem? Service centre will fix it?

Hi guys. I have the 2020 iriz. I have a weird problem where my head unit will randomly restart while I'm driving. It happens very randomly, either if I'm using radio or bluetooth or just turned it off(clock).

Went to service centre atiara Johan Puchong last month. They updated the software and promised me it won't happen again. It didn't, for 3 weeks and then it started happening again. I'm going to schedule another appointment again.

I want to know if this is a known issue? Do I need to request to have my head unit replaced?

If I change the head unit, thinking of android auto one, will it void my warranty?

Thank you for your replies guys. I booked appointment at cose. Let's hope the they exchange my head unit. Otherwise I'll bite the bullet and change it myself. It's so annoying when the radio restarts randomly and it's loud as hell when it boots up.

Ugh just got the check engine light. And my car is jerking badly and losing power sometimes during acceleration as well. Haizzz. 1 year old car. Hopefully I can schedule an appointment tomorrow. Cannot call and book today also. Headache.

Yup. The car is in service center now.
When they saw my car, they automatically assume that the android player that I changed 2 weeks before is the cause, without checking anything. And guess what, they made my car worse. When I send them the car only the engine check light was on. But when I checked after a couple of hours, every warning in my car was on(esc, transmission warning etc) and the car is not drivable at all.

They told me to go back to the shop who installed the android player and change it back to the original player and then come back. I told them no way I'm taking the car that they made worse. I told them to fix it the way it was previously(with the check engine light on) or fully fix my car. The service and branch manager promised me that my car will be fully fixed. So now 2 days I'm without my car.

I'm pretty sure the problem is not from the android player but some other wiring from the car. The foremen also claimed that every major wiring for the car goes through the stock radio. Even the transmission cable. I'm don't have pro knowledge in car but seriously thats the reason? I also fed up ready. I've send them the original radio and ask them to fully fix it.

I went to bangi service center. Since they're the only one that had early slot.

I do own a obd2 scanner myself and did a check on my car before sending it to the service center. This is the code shown.




I didn't reset the code. And just sent the car to be checked. The foremen just dismissed me when I showed them this code. He was so adamant that the fault is because I messed with the radio. He kept insisting that the the radio shop hooked up a power wire through the transmission which seemed bizarre since the radio is plug and play type and no additional wire was installed. Except for one wire from the taillight to the radio for the reverse camera to work. I even told then about the extra wire and ask them to remove it if it will help.

I don't deny that maybe the wiring might be messed up for some reason but aren't they the most qualified person/place to fix that? It seems that wathever I say just falls on deaf ears.

Yup, whenever I ask them to give me a solution, they really don't know anything. When I show them the error code, they dismissed me. And kept insisting that changing radio on iriz will cause the whole car to shut down. Then I asked what about thousands of iriz drivers who change their radio to aftermarket one, he kept silent. It's like talking to a wall.

I've managed to talk to the customer service manager and branch manager only. I was promised a fully fixed car but so far no progress has been made. Is there any other higher contacts in proton that I can meet/talk so I can push them to fix my car properly?

So far none afaik. Unfortunately have to go SC only. I didn't bother for my car. Next service one shot can reset. HaHa

Except for the interior, nothing to be excited much.

Guys I had "Transmission overheat" warning pop up just now. I've called SC and yet there's no free slot available for up to a week. Can I just walk in?

What are the potential causes? Car is still in warranty so hesitating to bring to outside workshop for now.

Car is pure pleasure to drive. The major downside is the transmission. Dont listen to online reviews. Go and test drive kawkaw. You may or may not like it.

Personally my car is having problem with the transmission and brake switch. That results in the car struggling to move from stop position and excessive jerking . It could be a general problem with Iriz/Persona or only on my car. Who knows? Even the service technicians don't know/ don't care.

Speaking of Service Centres, they only refreshed the facade of it. Inside its still the same old same old attitude. Normal service is fine but when dealing with them with any major problems, you will feel like talking to a stone wall. Even Cose is not any better.

In conclusion Iriz is a superb drivers car that's plagued with problems such as mediocre transmission and atrocious service centres.

I buy from shopee and bring to any accessories shop. They will help you install for some fees around 40~60. Don't go to these big shops like brothers etc. They will charge more but do piss poor job. The bangala will do the work, then one random amoi selamba come and take note of your car number just to charge you 100+ easily. Go to any neighbourhood accessories shop that also do tinting because they will have all the needed tools to install the sticker correctly. Small stickers do myself. Only the big ones I bring to them.
