Guys,
Is it possible that we buy the brake pads outside and ask SC to fix, will they accept?
My brake pads needs changing, I know SC will charge crazy for brake pads

QUOTE(jVIPERs2 @ Jun 10 2018, 08:07 PM) CoSE doesn’t allow this unless outside means Proton Parts Centre... If I buy the original proton brakes pads from spare parts shop? Also consider void warranty?Doing this (buy aftermarket brakepads) and installing it on to your car shall also void all your warranty related to your wheels... |

QUOTE(azyune @ Jun 11 2018, 09:46 AM) The fact that the service record about your brakepad replacement job in their system is non existent after been found out otherwise during periodical inspection means they will not covered it anymore. just changed brake pads this morning, cost about rm 360, did it together with servicing, expensive, but no choice, or else mmg void warranty.Doesnt matter if the pad is original from PPC, the main point is "unauthorized service job". |

Hi all. Just now I did a silly thing. Was about to park the car and I drove head first into the drain. 🤦♂️
One of my tyre was dangling above the drain and another tyre was on the road. Hence. I put to R. Depressed the pedal kao kao and managed to pull the car back on the road. Really happy it comes with ESC. ESC symbol was blinking and I managed to drive it up back. |

Guys, any SC got stock for brake switch? My car will have this sudden loss of power thingy for a few times. Went to SC for clutch adaption, still the same.
Need to let go of the petrol pedal, then depress again. Sometimes it will happen few times during driving, sometimes none at all Anyone encounter such issue before? |

QUOTE(yadea @ Sep 29 2020, 11:00 AM) I still have my car. I will assume that the HHA glitched out. No solution other than what i said. This post has been edited by clarkblitz: Oct 5 2020, 09:52 AMFew factors may play a role in this. 1) number of people in the car. 2) using lower pressure in tyres(SC's probably use quite high pressure so they dont have to repump the tyres often). High pressure = lower rolling resistant = faster acceleration. 3) Could SC be using diff spec for test drive? eg: At SC u drive 1.6 but u bought a 1.3 currently(forgive me as idk what model ur driving). He said car only 10k mileage so point 1,2,3,4 are not valid. 5 only if got faulty spark plug and that will make the car quite powerless from what i understand. Not sure whats causing the sudden power loss and dont think it relates to brake switch as from what I understand thats only used during engine start. Only time i know when sudden power loss is someone who used aftermarket ECU. ECU had problems communicating with TCU resulting in the CVT's clutch disengaging hence rpm go up car doesnt accelerate. |
