If you have trusted workshop, go ahead...else I would advice to stay with PESC as the cost is certainly about the same, and you get assurance that the maintenance is done properly with original parts but you do have to accept the bad attitude of the SAs and the long waiting time...

Problem here is that you cannot see the timing belt. Latest service schedule states change at 110k;

If you frequent proton SC, just follow their advise.

Else, observe your accessory belt's wear for need to change if you like living dangerously...

Anything to squeeze more money outta you... 

But they are always protected by the clause that it is their job to recommend, but if you disagree then they no liability...so depends on the SC you go to.

If honest, they will show you that your belt cracked/missing a few teeth when recommending you to change. Else is the usual malaysia panas kenot last 100k, or you idle too much so before 100k need to change or even if that fails, the simple threat that if putus you gonna spend RM2k and 2 months without car...
