Yes you can get into national schools but only get the very leftovers, that is provided you can get in. Because they allocate to Singaporeans and PRs first. Don't think as a parent you want to settle for leftovers?

Is government.school really better than international school? At best i can Say maybe, and under certain circumstances. But definitely not the case if you are getting the leftovers.

Just telling you my boss lifestyle. I never tried to justify it. And i also said that some expenses can cut. After cut, you're still looking at around 10k for a comfortable living as a foreigner.

But Don't forget, my boss only has one kid in international school. When 2nd kid hits schooling age, the price will go up almost double. So that offsets any savings you get by cutting expenses.

Don't think you can get a condo for 1.5k in SG for family living. 1.5k barely gets you a studio in less than convenient locations.
