It will largely depend on what sort of purposes you are using it for .

If you are casually playing games , by yourself or with friends it will serve the purpose ( It is an IPS panel )

But since you specifically mentioned PS4 pro , you will want a 4k display that support HDR for games like God of War to be optimal.
This monitor supports 4k display but that's pretty much the only thing it has , it has slightly higher input lag , terrible contrast ratings , below average screen brightness

Let's just say you are better off going for a real 4k TV with HDR if you are concerned about the performance and picture quality.

P/S : Monitors in general , are not a good display for picture quality unless you are willing to spend a ridiculous amount of money to obtain those professional 32 bit workflow monitors with 1 : 60000 contrast and 99% color gamut .

Saw this on sale at Impulse. Almost wanted to buy this until I read that :

1. 2016 model (means old liao)
2. All the connections are at the back and not side (personal preference to have at least one HDMI and USB at the side)

No wonder they are clearing smile.gif

Then do you have suggestion on which monitor to get for ps4? within budget RM 2.2k (max). Currently having 27 inch monitor, it is time to change it. Would like at least 37 inch monitor and can display 4k or HDR.

why not just get a 4K HDR tv?

price would be much cheaper than 4k HDR monitor

As far as I know , there are currently no monitor (or TV ) within the 2k price range that actually match the standard requirement for HDR display .

Most of them are incapable of HDR output if at all , including the Quantum Dot - Samsung CHG90 which cost RM 4000 + .These " HDR " labelled monitors can only read the HDR data signal , they cannot process data to display the intended effect for HDR mastered content. In some case you will do better by turn it off because HDR content showing washed out effect on these screen.

Same goes for TV but at least TV within the 2k price range can have pretty good picture quality ( 10 bit colors depth , great contrast )

Most people don't change their TV / Monitor every year , you will want to consider investing a little bit more on your budget so you can get a decent Monitor / TV that lasts more than few years .

If you have a little bit more to spare ( around RM 3000 ~ ) , the LG SJ800+ series are a good IPS panel with Wide color gamut ( wcg ) . The Sharp 6800x series are also a great choice , a VA panel with wcg as well . The TV in these range can at least give you a taste of what HDR is like .

If you are tight on the display budget , consider getting a 43 inches panel TV from Samsung or Sony as their low budget are pretty good (mu6100, mu6300, x7500) if you don't care much about the HDR .

Unfortunately I can't recommend any decent 4k monitors larger than 32 inches + at this price range sad.gif

I dont have a recommendation. I also looking like you smile.gif thats why i was eyeing that monitor as well.

I think AOC got a few that is cheap but i dont like as I'm going for those with hdmi slots at the side and not the back.

Not really wanna go 4k yet. Playing 60 fps on my ps4 pro better.
