QUOTE(nexona88 @ Aug 16 2018, 04:09 PM) Finally, I got my pvr replaced. The new pvr is same like the old pvr, except the new pvr is 30% LONGER.The decoder is supposed to be free (except i have to pay the technician RM61 for his service). This is the new pvr, which is same but much longer than my older pvr. ![]() Just for knowledge sharing ------------------------------ Before replacement, I opened up the pvr (the smaller one) and inside it was a 2.5" sata hard disk. I replaced the hard disk with my own 2.5" hard disk, but apparently, my decoder was faulty not because of the hard disk alone. ![]() |

QUOTE(JuneResources @ Aug 20 2018, 11:47 AM) Is the new PVR include audio port with red and white color port? Yes.. it still have analog output (yellow, red, white port).. As for the new pvr, I dont plan to open it up since it has a warranty and it has a breakable sticker that says 'warranty void if broken'. The older pvr has no such stickers.Eventually after you replace the new pvr, you can put the old hard disk (if your hdd is good conditions) back to the new pvr so that your program channels record is still available. |

QUOTE(anfieldude @ Sep 27 2018, 09:02 AM) Any satellite/cable model's main stay and subscriber advantage is always sports live broadcast. Same in all regions. Sports generates huge revenues, EPL is clear proof. In the US it's NBA/MLB/NFL and MLS. I am sure Astro is no exceptions and I believe the day they lose EPL and other sports broadcasts they will lose huge number of subscribers. Options for movies/TV shows is much more accessible now with Netflix/AmazonPrime etc. rural areas largely depends on astro, because they dont have or cant afford internet or have slow internet (streamyx) only. |

QUOTE(JuneResources @ Jun 8 2019, 09:16 PM) Hi guy, did you experience signal frequently not stable around 35 - 40%? Occassionally experience 1 sec 0% signal, and then back 40% signal. must be the dish alignment is off already... You need the signal meter to align the dish properly..Is it stb issued or dish LNB issued? Or totally old dish problem? Got try before do slightly alignment of the dish but only manage 45% max. By the way, the weather is good conditions. |

QUOTE(zairee2580 @ Nov 28 2019, 03:12 PM) Just subscribe this UHD ultra box thingy.. I'm surprised that you're surprised.. because telemarketers for astro will tell you all that conditions before asking you whether you agree or not.. To my supprise there are 14 channels that are NOT PERMITTED TO BE RECORDED DUE TO COPYRIGHT!!! WTF man... Anyway, maybe in the future, astro will sort that licensing issue.. |

QUOTE(nazgul @ Dec 8 2019, 10:26 PM) hi all..just change to ultra box yesterday from beyond pvr box..now all my hd channels blur and not as sharp as previous beyond pvr box.. i am using normal full hd tv..not 4k tv..is this the reason? I experience the same thing. After switching to astro ultra, I feel something is not right coz all channels (except uhd channel of course) looks worse to my eyes. I thought it was my own perception, but suddenly, my wife scolded me for changing the decoder. She said all channels now looks so bad (compared to older decoder). |

Cannot record, pvr functionality not available, no VOD. I reported to them and they gave me a new set of astro PVR. Problem solved. At that time, astro ultra did not exist yet. i already send fb complaint with screenshot VOD also cannot access Be aware about the warranty. If you are out of warranty, maybe got to pay for the new pvr. Ask them in advance about this. |

QUOTE(hizad @ Dec 19 2019, 09:54 PM) Easy.. it's because your 4k tv is an old model, that supports 4k 30Hz only. Which means it only support hdcp v1.4 and hdmi v1.4. Newer model of 4k tvs support 4k 60Hz, which use hdcp v2.2 and hdmi v2.0. This post has been edited by zeese: Dec 23 2019, 09:36 AM |
