You can upgrade it regardless of which Astro box you're using now. (Except Njoi ones of course)

Assuming you're not living in MDUs (apartment, condo) that uses the outdated centralise dish system, you can proceed to upgrade.

To enjoy this, here some conditions you need to know:
1) Must subscribe to HD-PVR service (worth RM25/month if a-la-carte) to watch any 4K UHD channel. If you've already subscribed that, then there's no additional monthly charges.
2) Must have UHD TV to watch any 4K UHD channel (e.g. ch780).
3) >10Mbps Internet connection is required. Otherwise, some functionalities will not be available, such as cloud recording, Video On Demand, "Play from Start" feature... If your Internet is slower than 10Mbps, slow loading, buffering and poor streaming quality issues may occur.

Situation:
i) Don't have 4K UHD TV:
When tune to any 4K UHD channels, only the audio from that channel can be heard, and the screen will appear black and HDCP error message will show on screen, exactly like this:

You can still can access to SD and HD channels as what you have now.

ii) Don't have Internet, or not connected to the Internet (either via WiFi or Ethernet):
Features as cloud recording, Video On Demand, "Play from Start" feature, will not be available.

iii) Internet slower than 10Mbps:
When you stream Video on Demand content or use Play from Start feature, you might experience slow loading, buffering and poor streaming quality issues may occur.

Upgrade 2 pvr box one primary one multiform to ultra box 4K

read through everything and if my understanding is correct - if I'm an Astro Superpack user,
1. I don't have to pay anything for the upgrade to Ultra box.
2. Monthly payment no change (so far).

my home has 2 decoder and 1 dish - curreny Byond package above rm360.00

- so do i get to upgrade 2 decoders free?
- do i need to change the dish as well?

or just as easy as installer coming to swap 2 decoders pnp?

My one also chat before, and wanna apply for ultra box.

But saw the installation fee RM199 , damn I rather buy android box TV (with certify mcmc) with connecting internet.. Done..
It's over-pricing.. It's OK allow for tied contract 24 mths since the equipment might costly.. But since we pay mth subscriptions fees within 24 months, no point to charge again installation fee...

So total cost for that particular month RM106 (Incl tax) to upgrade ultra.. Save 93 buck.. (from installation 199)
But after next month downgrade pack charge service RM10 (correct me if I'm wrong ), then deduct from saving 93 buck.. Then total saving RM83..

If I'm not mistake there are less than 5 UHD channels.. So still a bit not worth..
Unless in-coming extra 5 more UHD channels, then might be consider.
Same too mine one also rebate rm25...
Never mind lah.. Wait extra 5 more channels UHD available. Then u can upgrade too at that time also won't late..

Plus saw from 4K tv market price not cheap at all..

I just got clarification through email dated today (23/11/2019) regarding my RM30 monthly rebate, as follow:

"Please be advised that your account entitles for 24-months rebate based on the offer by our agent during a telephone conversation on 30th July 2019.

Do note, five (5) times rebate will be credited into the next invoice dated 10th December 2019. You may use and keep this e-mail for your reference."

Hopefully the rebate still continues as stated in email.

Your rebate amount not same as mine too. I got my rebate when i called in CS to request termination of my astro in July 2019. Then CS offered me rebate of monthly RM30 for 24 months, with condition no termination within 24 mths. So, i just accept the offer and continue to become astro customer.
