Does anyone knows how to time-shift (pause/rewind live TV) on the new astro ultra box?

QUOTE(joshhd @ Jan 10 2020, 12:16 PM) There's no way you can instantly pause/rewind live TV like what you and I used to have on the PVR box. I just had my ultra box install yesterday.Alternatively, use Play from Start feature to restart the programme from beginning. At this point, you fast forward till the point where you want to watch. Your Ultra Box must be connected to the Internet (WiFi) for this function to work. Until Astro allow its users to connect an external hard disk to the Ultra Box, you don't need to think about the time shift feature like what you used to have on PVR box, and also able to local record a programme to the external hard disk instead of only relying on cloud recording like what we all have in Ultra Box now. I can see at the back there is a USB 3.0 port just for the external hard disk. And I can also see the LOCAL STORAGE ONLY / CLOUD STORAGE ONLY options in the setting menu. If I select LOCAL STORAGE ONLY, will I get back instant pause/rewind function? |

I also noticed there is a microsd card slot next to the SIM card slot. I am hoping maybe in the future, microsd card is use for buffering the live TV show for instant pause/rewind feature, but full recorded is stored on the CLOUD storage. |
