QUOTE(smileguy @ Jan 12 2019, 09:30 PM) everything is quiet for now, even UHD launch!! Looks like its more about paytv and HSBB ! Asstro paytv alone has become too expensive I plan to downgrade to NJOI just for parents to watch Astro Awani and FTA channels. Because I think their package is not worth the price. Enjoying Netflix and VIU. |

QUOTE(nexona88 @ Jan 13 2019, 01:03 PM) Yesterday got a call to upgrade to Superpack with RM10 rebate for 3 months (catch: 24 months contract). I said sorry instead of upgrading I might even consider to downgrade or terminate. |

QUOTE(JohnLai @ Jan 17 2019, 11:31 PM) With upcoming TV3 and 8TV gonna be broadcasted in HD only after analog shutoff, will Astro also broadcasts those two in HD? Can Media Prima afford to pay the HD fee to MYTV? TBH Media Prima should rebrand like mediacorp, TV3 for Malay content, 8tv for Chinese, Japan and Korean, NTV7 for English and TV9 for Indian. It doesn't make any financial sense for Media Prima to keep MPEG2 feed or for Astro to downconvert those H264 HD feed to MPEG2 considering those bitrates are mere 4.2Mbps each..... Perhaps astro can take this opportunity to promote its new HD decoder too? |

With the rumour that the govt may ban android box, here are two legal Android Boxes:
Long TV - https://my.long.tv Enjoy TV (not to be confused with NJOI from Astro) - https://enjoytv.asia Both seem to be focusing channels from China. Will they survive? Time will tell. |

QUOTE(JuneResources @ Feb 11 2019, 01:07 PM) If you tell me still "a lot of work" needed to be done, then how come telco can fast done it? That means telco side "don't have work" to do? Available in Brunei under Kristal Astro brand. While Astro Ria, Prima and Warna available n SingaporeI didn't know Indonesians been kicked out by this service provider. Maybe minister is part of the shareholder with astro, that why they don't dare to slashing prices down. Same thing too for TM, minister force to reduce the pricing because they might not join the shareholder with TM.. Anyway, the world is very reality one... Malaysia is welcome you as long as you have huge of finance.. |

Astro quietly offers HD sport package to NJOI customers on prepaid basis at RM63.60/month. Well quite good for those who only watch Astro for sport content. This must be because so many people unsubscribe sport pack or terminate Astro because sport pack isn't cheap.

QUOTE(cruel_boy @ Mar 18 2019, 12:25 AM) btw, why no lower rate options appears at astro website when i try to change my plan. no more contract already. but only plans costing higher than my current plan appears. cannot downgrade ke? To downgradw must call. They purposely make it harder for people to downgrade. |
