On Unifi TV, HITS NOW started its broadcast (almost) a week prior to Jan 1, thanks to its 7-day Catch-Up function.

All Rewind Networks channels namely HITS, HITS Movies & HITS NOW are now available for streaming on sooka as of yesterday, Jan 10, 2024.

Astro AEC is now freeview on sooka.

This is nothing new. During the 52nd National Day in 2009, Astro launched a dedicated SITI channel (Ch 188) to acknowledge Dato' Sri Siti Nurhaliza's contribution to the Malaysian music industry for 2 days; Aug 30-31, 2009.

Astro services that will be unavailable in phases include:

Monday Feb 12, 2024 | 12:00 AM
- CANNOT fulfill any request for upgrade and new request submission

Tuesday Feb 13, 2024 | 10:00 PM
- CANNOT access any changes to Astro account (incl. personal details, billing & payment methods, and subscription changes) across all touchpoints
- CANNOT add, activate, or cancel any third-party streaming services (Netflix, Disney+ Hotstar, iQIYI, etc.)
- CANNOT activate Plug & Play Box

Thursday Feb 15, 2024 | 6:00 PM
- CANNOT purchase PPV via Astro First Ch 480 & On Demand Store

All these will be restoring its service by 9:30 AM on Friday, Feb 16, 2024.

However, expect delays of service changes on your Astro account in between 6 hours to 7 days according to what changes you’ve made, including bill delivery, account reconnection, and other payments. Your Astro ID then will be reset, prompting you to sign in again.

Your subscribed channels should be UNAFFECTED to this service upgrade.

Astro Arena is reverted to a VIP channel on sooka.

You still have the option to use satellite when you're first signing up to Astro by telling your Astro installer.

However, an internet connection is highly recommended when browsing & renting On Demand content, Record & Play from Start functionality, and accessing native & third-party streaming apps. It doesn't mean your Ultra/Ulti Box isn't functional at all, it only can press channel numbers like the old HD Zapper box.

Why don't you get NJOI instead? With NJOI Box & satellite dish, you get a free 30-day Family Pack as well.

As it is a prepaid service, you pay for what you need; no contract. But no Astro GO.

Live Premier League now on Arena Bola Ch 803. I’m using both HD Zapper Box & Multiroom Smart TV app.

It seems like when your audio is in Multiple, no commentary at all. It's just a pure live cheering audience inside the stadium.

When switched to Malay, it has commentary; it's in English instead.

Also, my Primary Pack now allows me to add (up to 2) more Multiroom subscriptions, including adding Ultra Box; thanks to Astro’s system upgrade. Before this can’t add since I’m only eligible for the Multiroom Smart TV option. Still RM14.99/month after Jan 31, 2024.

No more old Astro Self-Service website, it’ll redirect to My Astro portal.

sooka to introduce its own TV Dongle soon, the same as Mi Stick & Amazon Fire TV Stick.

Stock Android TV 12 UI to be speculated — that includes Chromecast support & Google Assistant.
