Ya I can. I could setup auto debit as well but strangely Astro did not ask for my credit card CVV.

I wish Astro improves their software (both website and ultrabox) and expand their VOD library.

I find it very hard to search for videos (or info I want on website). The VOD library is also a lot smaller than I expected.

Ya I was expecting the content to be a lot more. Popular mandarin drama like Qing Yu Nian, Lang Ya Bang or TV shows like Wang Pai etc.

Difficult to search as in the 'show' are not very well categorized. Variety shows, drama, news, documentary all grouped together. The search function also not easy to search for mandarin shows, their English name in Astro sometimes not same with what I find in Google.

Also just happened to me, my ultrabox suddenly switched off by itself and unable to switch on again for like 15 mins.

I think you need to pair your remote to your TV first before you can control the TV like turn on/off or volume. There was a guide posted by joshhd several post earlier. But I could be wrong, just an Astro newbie here.

Astro has partnership with iQiYi right? I was thinking they might have most if not all iQiYi shows in AOD haha...

I prefer not to subscribe to multiple providers, was hoping Astro and their AOD to be my all-in-one solution for tv entertainment.

Hmm so the only way to watch on TV is to use the app and cast it to smart TV?

Any reason why Astro doesn't just port over the content (or just a link) into their own library? Since the app is also co-launched by Astro. Even if they require to pay the same amount of iQiYi subscription fee just to get the contents I would.

Reason I ask is because usually my parents or wife are the one who watch and look for those shows. They're not very good with tech stuff. It's better to have just 1 control for every shows/dramas/movies/news.

Btw what is FTA TV? Is it referring to RTM, 8TV those?

Didn't know TV rights cannot be stacked. I always thought any broadcaster can purchase rights from any content providers.

I noticed some of the VOD video has noticeable low frame rate. The screen like skipping frames constantly. Anyone else notice this?

I'm a new user, after using Njoi for 2 years.

I had high expectation on the Video On Demand library, but the content is a lot smaller than what I was expecting. Lots of movies are still in Store (need to pay extra to rent, some even 2 years+ ago). I feel Astro should have just let subscribers watch them free based on monthly subscription fee. Like if RM80/month package user can watch RM8 and below Store's movie, RM140/month free <RM14 etc.

I'm using Astro 50% is for my kid to watch Xiao Tai Yang, 50% for my parents/wife for news and chinese/cantonese drama.

I'm also a badminton lover but currently there's no live tournament to watch.

Using it for a few months now. So far the auto restart problem happened to me once. Other than that no major issue.

The content library is ok, not bad but not very good either. Navigation is smooth but sometimes it's hard to search for what I want.
