Then who knows, this could also impress the ruling government of the day?

Its programming of the popup channel may be patriotic-themed, OR like what you said, a dumping ground of Astro's self-produced shows and movies.

It turns out OKEY has two feeds on Astro and MYTV at this specific time: 1:30 AM on August 29, 2024.

On MYTV Ch 110, MYTV Mana-Mana & RTMKlik, OKEY is showing the live telecast of the Paris 2024 Paralympics Opening Ceremony.

On Astro & NJOI Ch 146, Astro GO & sooka, it’s showing Kopi Antara Benua instead.

In conclusion, due to no broadcasting rights, Astro viewers via OKEY Ch 146 are unlikely to watch the entire Paralympic Games (be it the Opening and Closing Ceremonies, live Daily Coverage, or Daily Highlights). Viewers can go to https://paris2024.rtm.gov.my to stream the Games alternatively.

Astro is just opening up advertising opportunities, hence Wonda coffee just pay a lot of money to Astro, so that all Astro Ria viewers will aware of the Wonda coffee branding, even when they're watching the programmes on Astro Ria channel throughout the 24 hour window.
