I think it will help if you limit friction to the affected area. Try wearing shorts as much as possible while it heals.

The main problem here is your dry skin - it causes itchiness. So you fix your dry skin issue. Firstly you may try to apply Vaseline petroleum jelly every night religiously for a week and see if it helps to bring back moisture to your skin. If still the same, I suggest visit dermatologist to check if you have any skin-related problems. Otherwise, look out for pharmaceutical brand like Cetaphyl.

It is just because you have dry skin. Probably due to your diet or genetic. Just need to use lotion. Many brands out there but different person different. Find the one that suits your skin. No need to be expensive. Just use Vaseline probably

Dry skin may cause the itch, alternatively it may be due to the histamine build up just below the skin too. But the main culprit should be from your guts or digestive system, which affects your immune system.

So to tackle the root problem, look into improving your gut health & diet. Perhaps avoid high histamine stuffs.

Dry skin & itchiness is the consequential effect of the root problem. To solve the dryness, naturally it means to moisturize your skin. But contrary to some people's suggestion, Vaselin or any petroleum byproduct (mineral oil) does NOT moisturize the skin. It merely coats your skin with a layer (like plastic film) to prevent moisture loss. Naturally our skin produces oils to keep our skin moisturized, but this isn't functioning now. So I'd suggest you look for plant based oils to moisturize your skin.

If your skin is just dry, you could try natural soaps which contains more glycerin. And limit contact with water unless you're bathing, washing will remove some natural oils from skin.

Just go to seek consultation from skin specialist.

If doctor said simply because dry skin you just go buy lotion (hypersensitive if you are sensitive skin)

Else maybe because other condition doctor will give you prescription.

Once my skin so itchy I scratch myself in sleep and end up go seek doctor and its happened to be skin illness
