Lazada is owned by Alibaba, which is already listed in NYSE. It is owned by Softbank Japan, Yahoo US and Jack Ma etc.
Lazada e-wallet is owned by Ant Financials (Alipay), going for a IPO listing soon which may make Jack Ma the richest man in the world.
New Lazada's CEO is Lucy Peng. She is the co-founder and CEO of Ant Financial.

They will make more money from financial services (eg Touch N Go QR, Lazada e-wallet in Malaysia) than online shopping malls.

You don't feel the difference.
But Alipay can use your money (similar to your deposit at a bank) to invest or provide loans to make money.

I saw PGC WC Malaysia @ RM93 this morning, just for a while! I don't buy PGC @ Lazada recently, but may acquire some at Shopee.
