How do you go about "unlocking" the HK set from Samsung's regional lock (must use that phone's intended market SIM to make 5 minutes call). Or there is no such thing anymore?

I am looking at at RM3099 S21 SD888 HK unit.

Oh... "region lock" is not the same as "carrier lock".

Is anyone using SPay on Galaxy Watch 4/4C specifically?

Does every payment need unlocking of the watch and/ or SPay?

What are the possible settings?

1) Unlock watch, press+hold SPay button then unlock SPay?

Or

2) Set watch as UNLOCKED once and remains unlocked on wrist, press+hold SPay button then unlock SPay?

Or

3) Set watch WITHOUT any lock then press+hold SPay button then unlock SPay?

Or

4) NO LOCK at all both watch and SPay - just press+hold SPay button and tap to pay.

Setting (3) is like on Samsung phones swipe up from lock screen to bring up SPay and fingerprint to authorise payment.

Setting (2) is like Setting (3) IF the wrist detection works perfectly.

Setting (4) is best considering it is a watch - with limited screen real estate to fiddle with PINs/ patterns.

I am looking to get a GW4/4C. Although SPay is not the main purpose as I can use my phone's SPay, but good to find out.

I successfully added Alliance Bank to Samsung Pay today 12/11/2024.

Visa credit card.

Can just go counter, ask "penuh", go pump to fill and walk back to counter and pay the actual amount pumped - sure no RM200.00 hold.
