Hmm ..I tried at the pump yesterday but the terminal didn't seem to sense the Samsung Pay when I touched my phone at the upper part of the payment terminal

Yes, no sound or no error messages shown in the payment terminal. I was HLB Visa paywave compliant card. After Samsung Pay couldnt be detected, i used my HLB card to paywave and it worked.
So not sure whether it is the terminal issue, as yesterday was the first time i tried Samsung Pay at BHP. QUOTE(PJng @ May 24 2019, 01:21 PM) Just nothing happen when tap? |

Oh..so no Samsung Pay points for petrol? Wasnt aware of this.

Been trying out Samsung Pay over 4 transactions this weekend and only 1 transaction went through (McD). For the other 3 failed transactions, Paywave works for the same card but Samsung Pay have error saying " Do Not Honor"

I thought the limit for Samsung Pay or Paywave is 250? The amount I'm swiping and failed was 80+ between 150.
Should I call up the bank (in my case Public Bank) and ask them about transaction limit for Samsung Pay? QUOTE(joshhd @ May 26 2019, 09:33 PM) Blame the bank, not Samsung Pay. Just called PBB and was told that PBB card can only Paywave/Samsung Pay max 9 times. The 10th time has to be Pin transaction. Then the next 9 times can be used for Paywave/Samsung Pay.
Bloody stupid limit by the bank. In such scenario as yours here a few possibilities Accumulative amount limit or transaction limit. What is the fail error? if you do not know how would we know why it fail? Some older machine wont trigger pin exceed 250. Yes you should call your bank to findout the limit but PBB has the worse limit. Maybank is the best i done over 50 transaction on the same day and also make payment amount 500 - 1000+ using samsung pay successfully without issue |

Seems like 9 times Paywave/Samsung Pay swipes then 1 time slot in & pin, then next cycle starts counting again.
