QUOTE
Dear Sir/Madam,

Congratulations on your successful redemption of the Samsung Gear VR with Controller in conjunction with our Samsung Rewards. We would need some information from you. Please provide us with all your latest transactions history for our verification purpose as below:

1. Launch Samsung Pay
2. Select/Tap on Payment cards
3. Select one of your payment card in your card list and screenshot the whole page of payment history (included last 4 digits of card number & digital card number, all the 10 transactions, card image and etc)
4. If you have more than one card, continue with step 3

For any enquiry or further assistance, feel free to call us on 1800-22-8899. Congratulations once again, and have a great day ahead
Did anyone receive this also? I verified it with spay CS and it's valid.

I flat out refuse to provide information on what cards I own and what my transactions are - this is a violation of my personal rights, why do i need to show you that i have transactions, what/where my transactions are and what my cards are? WTF.

Why do they need this information for verification? Surely there are many other ways to do this.

Their Privacy Notice (attached and highlighted) explicitly states what they won't do, and yet in the TnC of the redemption they say that they have the right to request for screenshots, which contradicts the Privacy Policy. I'd figure that the Privacy Notice should take precedence.

I have already replied to them yesterday. They have escalated this to HQ and will get back to me on this.

Well, CS called me back, and "higher management" has decreed that this is mandatory, else they will hold the item or cancel it

questions to the CS that went unanswered
- what about if i registered with an email that i don't check at all?
- what about when i reinstalled my spay app and all the transactions were cleared? (which really happened last week due to the stupid Confirm button issue)

So, i'm going to send them a card that i dont use, that doesn't have any transactions and will explain the same thing - also they should have recording proof of my call if they don't believe me.

stinks, because i rather get something for free rather than pay for it. hah.

Grateful that they bothered to respond? Geez talk about drinking the kool-aid!

Maybe a bit of education here - You're an enterprise outfit, global in nature. If you have a CS department, of course you have to respond to a customer query when it is logged if it isn't addressed within the first call. It's called a Service Level Agreement.

What you mean to say is that my question or query wasn't valid or "wrong", to which I say *whoosh, over my head* Lol

Obviously not with what you talking about, which isn't even relevant to the discussion and point I was making.

Anyway, bygones.
