What if gear without phone? Sync 10 mins later.

Used it in South Korea. Phone has data enabled. Interesting POS system in Korea. Even if you don't find a credit card machine like what we have here, don't assume spay can't be used. The cashier tapped my phone at the side of the screen panel for spay payment. Most shops, even small little food shop can pay using samsung pay. Convenience store like 7-11 and other local convenience store accept spay too. You basically don't need to carry a lot of cash when you travel to Korea. What can I say, it's the place of origin of spay.

Just tried pay using SPay at Sushi Zento, Festival Walk, Ipoh

initially the cashier told me that it is not allowed as they need physical card to swipe at their cashier POS to capture the card information

I explained to the captain that their cashier POS can capture card info from SPay. He was kind enough to let me try, and then he "jaw dropped" once he found out that SPay can be "swiped" at the cashier POS. then he talked to his staff, after this allow customer to use SPay.

p/s: can't forget his jaw dropped expression... haha..

ya, i tapped at the magnetic stripe input of the cashier machine (actually this is considered as double swipe already)
i just tried my luck coz at Sushi Zento, paying at HLB card entitles 10% off total bill. today i forgot to bring my HLB card out. so i just ask the captain to let me try SPay with HLB card so that I can get the 10% off

Contest ends on 30 June. Maybe the calls will be made in July? That's also provided that they don't extend the contest period as they mentioned that they have the right to extend it.

I just swiped few minutes ago at the same McD but another terminal.
No problem. Sports isn't synched with the phone.
Few minutes, synched, tap recorded and points awarded.

What do you mean time of sync? Is it you didn't pair the watch with the phone during payment, and few minutes later you pair and sync them? And that's the time of sync?

scare already. Paid all with my phone all point awarded except the i paid with gear s3 and mastercard via kiosk until now not receive

Yeah they are testing out the reliability of points being awarded using Gear watch without pairing it with their phone. Interesting to know, how long before the points will be awarded once the Gear is being sync with the phone.
